Poulenc’s ability to shift thru colors is incredible. Great recording!
Je n'ai jamais entendu une interprétation aussi séduisante, aussi charmeuse. Votre touché exceptionnellement doux et expressif convient parfaitement à la musique de piano de Poulenc. Bravo !
Un grand merci!
Belies it's size in colorful harmony.
I hear faint shades of Ravel. I like it. What an amazing performance, too.
Poulenc manages to be bring a magical sophistication to an otherwise child like world. Your interpretation certainly captures this, well done!
I Instantly fell in love with this piece. 😍🥹
Wow, utterly beguiling and beautiful.
Absolutely gorgeous playing on a wonderful piece. It all feels so dreamlike and wistful.
Just heard this played today at a local "house concert" in Eugene. Loved it so had to listen to it again. I hadn't really heard much of Poulenc before but this is so lovely and the pianist did a fantastic job of evoking mystery with certainty of the fingers.
You layer all the different textures and colors so incredibly well. There's a lot of contrast in this piece, but it all sounds incredibly cohesive when you play it!! Well done!!
Świetny nastrój .Unosi się opada itd . 🐦🐦🐦
Beautiful!🎹
oh my....bravo!
Excellent!
Fantastic sense of form.
This is such a beautiful piece. Wow.
wonderful piece, played wonderful - THX
Very, very nice! Thank you!
Beautiful. I wish I could improvise like this
Super
Fantastic
very nice playing. thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful at times, and fun at others. Really really well played. Very nice moments of beauty in this piece. I love the main theme of it and I love that trill that keeps appearing, I feel like it's one of the most beautiful uses of a trill I can think of it adds a swelling feeling to the otherwise stable motion going on. I think your touch is nice and delicate but then you play nice and deep low bass notes when they come in. And then you added pauses and rallentandos where I don't see it written, but it sounds really great.
nice blues
French Prokofiev
Or French Rachmaninoff.
@@daniloberaldo570 hah sure that too, especially in the middle, just said it because the beginning reminds me of Prokofiev's Op. 12 No. 5 & 7 lol
I disagree. I'd say Poulenc is french Poulenc
@@arielorthmann4061 lol just a joke, don't think about it too hard ;)
@@tchaffman well don't you think my answer was also kind of humourous?
Beautiful. I once heard someone play a piano version of the adagietto from Les Biches, Poulenc ought to be played much more than he is.
It ends on a dominant seventh in root position on the tonic! Only the second piece in my knowledge to do so, after the penultimate Prelude from op. 28 by Frederic Chopin. And beautifully played.
Must be the 2nd piece in all of history
Also the Domine Deus from Poulenc‘s Gloria ends in a dominanth seventh. Sounds really misterious.
@@josephalvarez5315 probably not
Beautifully, colourfully played!
You made me curious about Poulenc - well done 🙂🎹
On which piano was that recorded?
It was recorded on a Hamburg Steinway at the Koerner Hall in Toronto
Very pretty!
I hear Debussy in there.
