🇵🇭✊👉When the Cebuano audience and athletes from all over the country chanted loud and even louder Duterte! Duterte! Duterte! when the president arrived for the opening ceremony of the Palarong Pambansa, it was a clear display of ordinary Filipinos playing their favorite sports - politics!
In chanting the name of the former President and the current VP, the people have made their choice who they are rooting for. They missed the previous admin and cannot wait for the next.
The cheering squad were not from the opposition Maisug and had no practice. It was spontaneous. This is the reason why Congress wants to curtail freedom of expression and ban any sign of protest during the SONA.
Embarrassment to them but for the people fed up with abuse of power, this was a very human act, expressing their thoughts, raising their voices. The manner and the message were political statements both worthy of gold medals. Salute!
