Honestly one of my favourite themes, the ice wave had so many cool vehicle transformations and really no theme has matched it, apart from maybe monkey kid or Ninjago, but those sets don’t come close to the massive transformations of the project deep freeze vehicles.
It was so cool how literally every vehicle, large or small, could transform!
I had the Lego magazine as a kid, and I remember an issue where Ogel was sort of inside the magazine and was messing up the articles inside. I knew nothing else about the theme, but I knew I liked Ogel XD. My little brother was starting to get into Lego about that same time, so we started splitting the themes between us. He got the good guy stuff, and I got the bad guy stuff. I kept Ogel as the leader of my Lego base after that.

the Lookback series is something I've been looking forward to. I mean, seeing all those sets on the background is good, getting individual reviews is great, but getting an overview of a complete theme is absolutely the best!

I had the alpha team shark sub when I was little and I just found this and I just unlocked a memory
I still have a few of the mini sets from this theme! I had forgotten about them until I dug them out of the back of my cupboard. It was one of the few non-Bionicle Lego themes I got as a child. Loved the underwater theme.
The arctic set bombs with the red overlay hiding some details are still in my favorite
There was a contest for Deep Freeze where each contestant would send their own take of how Alpha Team ended. None were published but there were several winners. I wonder if any of those stories remain.
If I can find them all I’ll buy them again, I remember being crazy about these in 5th grade
It was very interesting learning about the agents theme that came my personal favorite theme, Agents. I do own the Hidden Side version of TeeVee at 1:38 which I didn’t even know was from this theme. Agents was my very 1st theme along with Dino Attack but I had a special connection to Agents. Really excited for that episode to come out! Also at 0:29 your Agent Charge is missing a hair piece.
Really shows how Lego was before the 6 stud side slope, and its over use with other pieces. Also Teevee had the biggest glow-down of any figure .
I miss Alpha Team. It had so many neat characters and ideas, I wish Lego would remake it at some point.
The best sets of the Alpha Team theme are definitely the Ogel Evil bases. The last one is so cool (😼).

Alpha team while being my least favorite out of the 3 agent themes (ultra agents is my favorite) is still really fun with mission deep freeze being my favorite wave, I even got the two 2005 final fight sets
You forgot to mention that the main characteristic of the scorpion launcher is that it could transform like the agent vehicles which is why it was basically the final boss of the theme and the transformation is really cool even if unstable
35:15 The claw on the jet was actually intended for pulling a radar dish out of the villain vehicle which made it fall apart.
Just watched this vid and I have to say that my 5 years old boy hits that Ogel's fortress gate almost every time (but I don't). It's a nice and surprisingly functional playable feature. Great video.

For the first wave, it looks like something that happened to put together last minute I mean you even said the computer game was changed last minute so it’s possible that wave was put together last minute

This looks like ideas repurposed from the sea tron theme with vehicles that looked like sea creatures and loading vehicles to take things into the air.
I only really liked the first two evil structures, but I thought the sea wave had great vehicles. I didn't like the arctic as all the sets were quite messy and chunky.

Ninjago came out like 10 years after this theme released so they probably learned a few things from Alpha Team.
