    I can't believe that so many commenters don't know Tony Robinson! I've watched everything that I could get on RUclips since he was young Tony. I'm from Las Vegas NV USA, and can only get what is sneaked out. He is amazing. I wish I had stayed as healthy !

      @@roymerritt6992 Not to mention 20 years of "Time Team" and countless other documentary series, both in the UK and Australia.
      Strangest of all, he was the second Artful Dodger in "Oliver" in the West End (the British equivalent of Broadway).

      I’m surprised as well! I’ve been a fan of his for many years...and I’m in Portland, Oregon USA! There are more of his documentaries on Amazon Prime Video; if you have Amazon Prime the majority of them are free IMS. Actually, the sheer number of documentaries they have on Prime Video has been worth the price of membership for me.

      The Last Remaining Moderate I love “Time Team”! I enjoy many documentaries, and I like many presenters such as Dan Jones (whose books I also enjoy), Lucy Hale & Susannah Lipscomb. But there is just something about Sir Tony’s work that always has me coming back for more. The joy and wonder he experiences-and lets us experience it with him-is just a pleasure to watch. He never talks down to you, always finds a good laugh or two, and just seems to truly enjoy the work. I saw on IMDB that he’s recently done a series “Around the World by Train with Tony Robinson” that I am definitely going to have to look for now (if anyone reading this has seen it, I’d love to know your thoughts!)

    Tony Robinson is such a hero. No one person has taught me as much about archeology or made me more interested in archeology, than Tony.
    As an American living in Upstate New York, documentaries like this make me so endlessly envious of Britons especially, and really just Europeans in general. I mean, all Americans with European ancestry have the same history as Europeans of European ancestry, but people who live in Europe are living _amongst_ it! It's all right there! You can physically access it much more easily. I would die to see these places in person. The place that I live is just so young. All of my country's archaeological history exists in the depth of topsoil you guys remove to start accessing yours! That's just wild.

    • @grovermartin6874
      @grovermartin6874 4 года назад +4

      It does seem so, yet there are so many places that haven't been investigated. How about the Great Serpent Mound, for example? It's vast, and has barely been looked at. And there are smaller mounds all over the central and eastern states. And notice how long it took for the astounding ancient Mayan city centres to be unearthed. Maybe they all need an enthusiastic New World Tony Robinson to share his excitement and waken interest after some findings have been bruited about? Tony is a Pied Piper, isn't he!?
