Great message! Much needed today. I also struggle with finding time lately to get into my bible. I recently have been making changes with that and getting back into it. I feel like right now is such a critical time to know the word of God and to have it written on your heart. I appreciate the tips and I will definitely try some of these, like reading or listening during my lunch break. I like that. I have such a hard time at work, as so many are either into heavy New Age or they are cultural Christians who still practice New Age. I only know 1 real Christian at my job. And we do not work in the same dept. so I rarely see her. I came out of a very confusing background of Jehovah Witness, New Age and finally I learned who Jesus truly was and understood the gospel. I have changed so much and have come a long way in the past 7 yrs. But, trying to be around people at my job or my neighbors is so hard. I feel so alone since being saved. It's totally worth it though. I would love to hear your testimony. I love hearing how people found Jesus! And totally off topic, but I used to live in So Cal for almost 18 yrs. Mostly Ventura County. I'm a Nor Cal native and I am now back up in Napa County in the mountains. I miss So Cal! Also I too am an artist, my mom was a graphic artist and I did that for a while as well, (now I have a Wacom pad collecting dust lol) I prefer traditional art and my favorite medium is colored pencils or pastels. But, I feel like I am so tired after work I have no motivation, plus I am getting old and just worn out from life it seems. However, I do like to be creative in my bible study, I feel like I can let all my artistic expression out that way. :)
Wow thank you so much for your honesty. We have so much in common! My testimony is on my channel if you feel called to watch it. I think most Christians feel alone and isolated. I’ve heard that time and time again and I also only know 1 true Christian. That’s why I love going to church and connect with others who are biblical. I also think this alone time God really works on us while everyone else is busy with worldly things. When God told me to start this channel back up with a new purpose I literally said God how can I handle more work I am drowning here I have no time or energy and I said you will need to free up my schedule and guess what that same week he did, my work slowed down and as I promised I went and recorded my testimony plus 2 other videos. It was stressful at first but the more i did it the easier it got. So now I just try to record whenever I have time usually on weekends. I go to bed close to 2 am. He really made me love sharing different things on my channel. It’s time consuming but I love it!! I am hoping over time I can work less and focus more on my channel. I bet he has big plans for you as well just devote more time to Him anyway you can, you’ll be amazed!! ❤️🙏
@@DejaDrewit Yeah, I am seeing that we have a lot in common too! lol It's funny you mention about how you told God how you were drowning in work. I literally have been praying the same thing and my job just announced they were cutting our hours down do to budget cuts. So now I will have more time and I know God is giving me this time to come back to studying His word and growing closer to Him. Pray for me as I am easily distracted, like you, I am too love to listen to things all day. That convicted me when you said God showed you how that interferes with hearing Him or spending time with Him. I'm totally guilty! So that is something I will need to really work on now that I will have some more time. I'm also a night owl, I am more focused and creative at night, but because of work I am forced to get up early and go to bed early so I am in zombie mode many times. I hate it! I have to work tomorrow so I better get ready for it (ugh!), but I'm going to listen to your testimony! I will respond to it, but might not be for a couple days till I have a brain again after my now shorter work week! Thank you, Jesus! Of course, also trying not to stress the money issue with my paycheck cut in half and still keeping my benefits. I have bad health so I really have to keep my medical and it's expensive, but I am trusting God to meet all my needs. Won't be the first time I have been broke and He always made sure I had what I needed. I'm so happy to have found your channel! I am not usually this chatty in the comments.
