The lg remote is by far the best. You have to take advantage of quick launch feature with the numbers, its so quick and smooth especially compared to anything Sony or Samsung offers, and I have Oleds from all three.
C series is a great value tv once prices adjust. Quite happy with the LG C1 for bedroom use and the C series remains the best option for oled pc gaming in 2160p at the 42" size.
To unlock Peak Brightness in Game Optimizer mode you can use the Color Control App on a PC for all HDMI devices including PS5, Xbox, etc. This is completely safe and wont void the warranty. The biggest downside of the C2/C3 is no 120fps BFI support to improve motion clarity. OLED Motion Pro is the best gaming feature IMO and LG decided to remove it After the C1/G1. I would love for you, KG, FOMO, Brian, and the entire Community to hammer LG on that one. The numbers on the remote are necessary to access some secret menus, for example 111111 on top of Channel tuning, and my favorite 1113111 on top of select mode, which helps with HDR settings to select Mastering Peak Maxcll to match the Maxcll of the content when it's not automatically detected, which is the case on the Consoles and PC. I've been abusing that C1 remote for over 2200 hours and I can't understand how is still feeling like new. It's one of my favorite things about these LG TVs.
I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my video and give out a workaround solution for LG. I didn’t want to use the app because the average person wouldn't go through that length to unlock that option. I wish LG address the issue and have an FW to resolve it.
@Max Chambliss II The average person has a smartphone with a lot of apps, and some of them are more complicated than the Colorcontrol app. I also wish LG changes that, but unfortunately, it might never happen. Raising awareness is the best we can do. It takes 3 clicks on the app to make the change. Anyone can do it. The set up part is as simple as connecting the app and TV to the internet, and people do that every day
I love that you covered SDR gaming. The PS3 was a nice touch for it. The banding is a bit of a let down. Their HDR gradient is practically the same as last year's C2 😢. Sony is better in this area it seems.
LG is holding themselves back at this point because of SDR gaming settings being locked 🔒. That means, I can't even consider them for the moment sadly. Are u going to review the A80L in the near future?
Thanks for the effort. Wish you had spent more time on audio and whether at this price point does one need to spend even more money on a sound bar. My old projection TV has huge speakers with excellent bass response and full EQ settings. Does the LG have full EQ? Also could have spent more time on the Web OS platform such as version, improvements etc.
Thank you 🙏🏾 for the kind words. From my experience with the 85” Sony X95K, I would say yes 🙌🏾 When it comes to HDR impact and blacks the 85” version is one of the best TVs in its size range. I’m keeping my X95K and I have zero regrets. I will do a follow up video on the X95K soon.
@@asafblasbergvideographer I use my own personal settings. I haven’t decided if I want to go that route. I had my Sony A90J professionally calibrated and it’s great but I may pass on the X95K.

I love my A90J but I still think the price is too high for a 2021 TV. I would wait longer if you want to get the A90J. Otherwise, a C2 is better priced than the A90J.
Hey man I’ve watched a lot of your videos and comparisons and really need your help! So for my birthday my wife got me a new tv (the Samsung S95B) I just noticed that from the side of you look down the top of it, it is slightly bent. I love the picture quality and vibrancy and everything about the tv except now this. What TV would you tell me to get if not this one that isn’t 1000$ more. Seems like you’re a big fan of the S95B. I’m curious what tv you would recommend. I’m just worried if I re order it could be bent too. But I am open to just reordering it. Thanks in advance!
Taking away the Numbers on the LG remote would be stupid. You are aware those are programmable hot keys? It seems like a lot of you youtubers obsession with constantly whining about the LG remote boils down to “change for change” sake. It’s the best remote I’ve ever used. What is this magical perfect remote? Samsung, Sony, Roku, Nvidia Shield remotes are all garbage and barely functional.
Thanks for that. The fewer buttons on a remote the less user friendly it is. The Visio I just tried went back to the store. One reason was some buttons change their function depending upon what's on the display for content. Nope. Deal breaker. The platform was not good and the sound and speakers were bad too. Only bass and treble controls. Like the Tesla where Musk tried to save money by eliminating mechanical buttons for such critical things as operating a window, it backfired because using a touch screen for everything requires one to take your eyes off the road for too long and caused accidents.

Yes. And the number buttons serve as customizable shortcuts to apps. A very nice feature imo.

S90C is the TV to get
I agree 😎
Unless you want Dolby Vision, a better processor, and can get the C3 for less. Also, good luck with Samsung’s firmware updates

Is the a90j still a good buy in 2023?
Hi Max, when is a review coming with X95L and X95K? thank you!
I would totally get an S90C but I can't put my finger on it I just don't trust Samsung , I can't help but feel like there would be an issue
I really enjoy your videos Max. Thank you! How is your 85" X95K doing so far? I have the 2021 X95J. Is there a big improvement from the J to the K?

PS I don’t game. I just stream tv and movies.
I would probably say the LG C2 or G2. The C2 would be about the same price as the S95B. If possible try swapping out the S95B for another S95B.
I spoke with Samsung and I can swap it out for one that’s new for $1500. Cheaper than the C2. What do you think? Go with that?

No the s95b
