Leaky roof fix: Run a bead of silicon sealant around the targa's rubber, lay saran wrap on the body where the rubber meets the car (no wrikles). Put the targa on and lock it down. Wait up to 24 hours. Sounds like a cheesey hack but it works great for T-tops also because the silicon sealant blends with the rubber on the panels that are removed and not the rubber on the car where hands will invariably wind up touching.
You’re crazy! There’s TONS of aftermarket support for the Del Sol. Trust me I own one. Tanabe medallion catback exhaust is the best for the Del Sol in my opinion. Also, the Del Sol is an EG. So you can use EG civic parts (92-95 civic) or 94-01 integra parts. All interchangeable.
Ive looked at the tanabe many times. It's nice but I'd have to hear it in person because the tone isn't what I'm looking for. The tone from he Mugen is more my style. This is all wicked helpful though guys! Thanks so much for commenting and helping put me on the right track cause I really want to do this car right
Scooch headers play a big part in the tone. I have sound clips of my Del sol if you have an email I’d gladly send it over to help. Good luck on your sol journey if anything!
I got skunk2 catback without sliencer along with skunk2 alpha header. That thing is loud in a good way especially in tunnel. Surprised it's deep tone too.
Having used to own a 93 that had serious roof leaks, most often at the front driver side, I applied heavy silicone grease to the seals because I never took my roof off. Didn't have any more leaks. Theres good aftermarket support since other than body, parts from the civic and Integra cross over. I used the Integra grs brakes for example.
I’m still searching for a fix to at least slow the roof leaks but if feel like it’s a lost cause cause I do take the top off as much as possible. I will say being a civic basically, it’s great being able to just swap parts from most 90s civics and integras. My aftermarket support issue when this video was made was really focused on the fact I couldn’t find an exhaust haha. There isn’t much out there. Some people say you can make other catbacks fit but it isn’t always easy. Since this video was made I actually bought a rust free 93 from florida, swapped the B16 out of this black one and rebuilt it. Got most of the build on the channel but still adding more content. I will say I’m still getting used to the quirks of the 93 cause although it’s the same car it’s got leaks in different areas, no power steering, trunk is leaking, just all kinds of fun stuff 😂

I just bought a 93 in perfect condition, I'm going to use it as my daily and I'd like to ask two things: 1)I have the same peeling problem, does anyone know how to fit it? 2) How much km(or miles) can I make with a full tank by driving not too fast, like max 4500/5000 rpm?
When you say peeling, did you mean to say leaking? Like how the roof leaks, or did you mean the paint peeling, cause a lot of us have both issues haha. But your second question is very difficult to answer. It will vary for nearly every owner on the planet for a few reasons. For example, it isn't always about how high you rev it as how fast you get to those rpms. Also things like where you live, type of weather you have, the altitude you live at, how good are the tires you run? Do you downshift when stopping ot throw it in neutral and coast to a stop? Do you run the AC a lot? Do you usually have the windows up or down? What grade fuel are you using? Are you sitting in a lot of traffic or is there not really any traffic? There are so many different variables that come into place with any car when figuring out how far a single tank will get you. Best way to find out is to do your route for a few weeks. Every week calculate how many km/miles you went on a full tank. See what you're getting for a distance you can go

Leaking roof = This is more of a lack of understanding rather than a fact. It is due to blocked channels, rust hole behind the roof seals, lack of seal maintenance or maladjusted roof. No Interior Storage = Have you been in a new 2 seater car? Some don't even have a glove box let alone rear seat storage bins. Example the current Mazda Miata MX5 No Cup Holders = There is, just not the size you are used to. Remember this was at a time before distracted driving or supersize drinks. Drinks during this car's time was just coffee and coke cans. No After Market support = You may not be familiar but this car shares parts with the Civic and Integra is almost limitless. You mention exhaust but that is the least critical since every exhaust shops virtually makes them custom with no problems. Panels is more critical being specific, there are still tons of parts even rust repair sections and even carbon fiber panels. More than many newer cars. Headlight brightness = You may either have rust in your reflectors, poorly adjusted or the wrong bulbs. The standard lights were the norm (halogen) not HID's and these are even better than many newer projector lights. Comparing to new HID's, LED's is a little unfair that is why people never complain it does not have Sat nav, parking sensors, intelligent cruise, lane keeping assist, auto park and autonomous braking etc LSD = Was never standard, back then that option is like having torque vectoring. It was ahead and an option. Unfortunately that factory option was only available overseas, but it was available. It is not perfect but for its age and for the level of support it still has (compared to its contemporaries and newer cars) it is a great platform.

Obviously things I already stated in the video, and to touch one part you mentioned, things I did not know at the time, was how many Civic parts fit this car. But the exhausts more specifically, if you've ever used an exhaust shop for a full custom exhaust you would never use one again. Yes if you have someone build you a crazy custom titanium catback that's one thing, but for the most part to just go down and get a stainless steel setup, the quality you will buy will be better 9 times out of 10 if you do the right research
for the exhaust I got a carbon fiber muffler and custom welded it in. helps a lot. 97 has no fog lights. i agree no storage no cup holder is da shizl. my other upgrades - black carbon altezza rear lights, racing exhaust manifold, k&n air filter. gates racing timing belt. almost nothin has broken in 25 years. your friend gave u a super deal, most sell for 20k these days IF you can even find one esp under 75k miles is super rare.
