  • Recently I was invited to Julian's house to meet up with our mutual friend, Koji Wada from Osaka, Japan that came to visit us hobbyist friends in the state side. While everyone had their phone out and snapping photos for their social media accounts, I figured I would do the same but take videos of this iconic tank to give you guys an update which I haven't done in few years.
Sit back and enjoy this simplistic yet gorgeous aquarium made by the godfather of our saltwater hobby.
Be sure to comment down below what was your favorite part of the video!
    Happy Reefing!

Thanks for sharing Richard. I enjoy watching updates of Julians tank. Although Julian is an experienced aquarist it shows simplicity works without all the bells and whistles. I am partial to gorgonians myself. Often overlooked. I also like blue ridge coral and many of the old school corals from the past. I think its easy to get caught up in trends and what is popular to keep, however, you can’t beat the old school corals. Thanks for sharing.

@@gsander4837 you are very welcome! Yea, old corals are pretty amazing and can be purchased for pretty cheap now. Honestly, it's refreshing to see a tank like this every once in a while and to see someone like Julian doing this, inspires me to do better. :)

Some scenes are when his light was turning off because it was late at night. I didn't want to bother him and the guests so I shot what was available to me at the time.
