Don't mind me. Just some quick study notes here:
18:30 Keep track of what you did right and what wrong. Keep spreadsheets.
21:20 tips for people struggling to study: tune out noise.
24:00 productive study: study what’s working RIGHT NOW (25:30)
    27:40 make sacrifices to study
38:25 what hold people back: not realizing studying is ongoing
44:00 Lack of confidence: Put in the work. Intellectual process.
55:00 Avoid thin volatility. Only stocks with 100K to 2M shares volume
1:00:00 Be patient. He has limitation
1:08:00 Press release just news hype. He has DVD teaching SEC filing 6 hrs long and boring.

This is one the best podcasts of the series to date. Timothy Sykes is a phenomenal success story based on real world experience.
I would like to see Anton Kriel and perhaps one of the greatest day traders on the planet today, Oliver Velez, be featured as future guests. Fabulous work Aaron.

A million dollars is not meaningless to me. Conservatively invested, that over $50k a year in interest. Do you know what my highest earning year ever was? $12,651. I am dirt poor in terms of usa incomes, so, to me, in the grand scheme of things, a million dollars would be me, set for life, never having to worry about sleeping in my car or going to the soup kitchen again. How nice it must be to be so privileged where $1 million doesn't mean much. I'll get there, I know I will. I'm nothing if not determined.

Aaron, love your podcast. I listen every morning on my way to work. I'm very new to trading and have been studying for about 6 months, and "paper trading" for about 2 months now. I don't plan to put any real money into it until I can make "fake" money paper trading...which I can't even seem to do, yet.
I found Tim's interview very interesting, so I plan to look into his videos. One question I have, is why does an article on investopedia say that this method of short selling penny stocks is done by "unethical" traders...
The article below, when talking about the illegal practice of "Poop and Scoop" trading, says that a "similar" tactic is called "Short and Distort." Doesn't say it's illegal, it just says "unethical." Why is that? Here's the article...

+Jud Leonard Really great to hear you like the podcast, Jud - thanks for listening. I haven't read the article, but I don't understand how being a trader who shorts a penny stock is in anyway unethical, how is it different from shorting any other stock? From what I understand, the actual 'pump and dump' of a penny stock is generally controlled/manipulated by those on the inside of the company, not the retail trader. So in some ways, that part of it could be called unethical...

Dont get me wrong, this was a good interview like all the interviews on Chat with Traders, and i respect Tim Sykes for his success, but like 85% of what Sykes says in this interview is self promotion. It's not really good advice at all and much of it is "Hey I have a DVD on this so you should go buy that." This goes for a lot of the more recent Tim Sykes content, he just brags in an attempt to motivate and gather evangelical buyers who are willing to throw money at him... I love this channel, but the majority of the other interviews were way more interesting and way more insightful than this.

Full show notes: chatwithtraders.com/ep-003-tim... - - Penny stocks are a world of their own, and often refereed to as ‘the gutter of the stock market’. But as today’s guest discovered, this world can be an incredibly lucrative one. Timothy Sykes joins us here on the third episode of Chat With Traders to share his passion for playing penny stocks, and how traders can benefit from common scams and manipulation.
You might also find it entertaining to know that Tim has called out multiple celebrities about promoting sketchy penny stocks, so of course, I ask him about this too. Enjoy!
