You know, I actually have the mostly complete storyboard sequence for “Bad”. But the most surprising thing about this is that what’s described matches what I saw on them.
This is honestly amaizng! Also, I'm curious but do you by any chance have the Florida Pre-broadway recording and that you could upload on your channel. It disappeared from RUclips a while back and it was awesome seeing a comparison between it and the final production we got on Broadway.
It’s not bad, but it definitely feels like an early version of the scene. The lyrics aren’t as clever, and while they tell us how “Bad” the plant is, there’s not much else to it. The scathing mockery of Seymour over his failure, Audrey II revealing itself to him as an extraterrestrial, these are things Mean Green Mother manages to accomplish while having a funkier melody, more seamless transitions to the monster references, and stronger rhymes. Still, it’s really interesting to see this and get insight on the process and how far back aspects of the final film go.
