Great song, I kinda like C-Pop. Btw, you think it's a good idea to learn Mandarin beside Japanese (learn it since a year)? I'm unconscious to learn it since I could kinda neglect my Japanese studies or it would be too overwhelming for me
I don’t know anything about Japanese, but from what I’ve heard, it’s closer to Korean, and Japanese Kanji (Chinese loanwords) can have completely different meanings from the original Chinese characters’ meanings.
Just one question on the grammar. At 2:40 the sentence “我的心 温柔的给你” is the 的 usage correct in this context ? Or should it be 地 because it qualifies the adverb 温柔 (gently) with the verb 给 (to give). Please advise - I’ve just started learning Chinese 3 months ago so apologies if the assumptions made are incorrect.
You are correct! It should be 地 technically. Contemporary Chinese have begun using 的 in place of both 地 and 得 though and those were the official song lyrics
