- After a few years riding with the #x Sora I thought it was time to not only give the commuter bike a rebuild, but at the same time give 1x a try. Not only will I be installing a 1x groupset on the bike, I will also be giving it a custom paint job.
This is step one, the teardown.
Stay tuned for the next steps
Ooh! That's a very nice bb tool!
Waiting for the Part-2
I'm mulling over 1x conversion, technically done it already by cutting the FD. But to do it properly, would love to use Hope RX crankset with direct mounted chainrings.
This will be my first go at 1x and a big jump from a 3x to 1x - I’m probably nuts for doing so but too late now lol.
I like hop you have a variety of colors with Hope RX. Those would look great on some of my other rides.
When is part two coming? I'm looking to do the same and am curious how you went about it
When is Part 2 coming? I too ride four corners
It’s coming. Weather and work have delayed my stripping the paint off the frame. I’m hoping to get the rest of the stripping and painting started this weekend. I’ll be putting more up during that.
Beautiful editing
Thank you very much. I appreciate it!
Hey, what model of fenders are you using? Im currently using ass savers, but these are not touring friendly
what is the weight of the frame?
what fenders/mudguard ? i got marin four cornes M size:)
Any updates on this project?
Do you remember what rear rack and fenders you are using on it?
JOSH! :( Where is part 2 etc? How did to go with the Sensah Groupset?
Part 2 is kinda finally coming along. A few paint job mishaps and life stalled the project, but this weekend I attempted a 4th approach to painting the bike and I’m sticking with it. I hope to start building it up this week and weekend.
still waiting for the Part 2
After far too long of a stall things are picking back up again with the build. 3 failed attempts with a new paint job and other live things have put me waaaay behind, but a successful paint job this weekend means I m back on track.
