Darren, Nice job. Do you want the mold 100% dry before you pour a 2nd weight? Certainly dont want any water in your lead pot, but unsure of lead going into a damp mold. Thanks
Hahaha.. I did think the lead will stay stuck in that pipe bud it did not.. What is the weigh of that long fishing lead in kilo ? I have Maine also bud they are thcker in diameter and I won't then thinner so to travel better to sink straight in deep watter
Great video mate, very informative, and love the look of your channel too, I seen you on Waikaremona as I was commenting so I'll stay tuned and hit your like and subscription button. I am from New Zealand and generally into Fly Fishing, good stuff buddy
Hi Darren, Do you lube up the inside of the tube to aid getting the lead out once it has hardened? I have just tried to do this and am struggling to get the bugger out!!
No lube but the tube needs to totally free of dents and I pull it out of the water with gloves so its still pretty hot. I have stuck a few in the past tho, good luck with it.
Super easy tutorial, cheers bud.
Nice video mate.
Glad you enjoyed it
Will this work with copper tube? Great tutorial.
I don't think so. Copper retains heat where ally cools very quickly but you could give it a go.Thanks
Subscribed, cheers good tip.
Where do you get the lead from? Awesome video. maybe include what material you will need in another video!
Hi Darron, wherever I can mate. From scrap metal yards to friends that replace rooves.
