Who does that m, pulling away his worker while nothing is happening ? The only explanation other than cheating would be that a guy came in his room with a gun and told him "Don't scream, select yout workers, pull them back in your main base, ok have a nice day bye"
My initial reaction was "why the heck would he think this guy is hacking? You said you just won with a proxy..." Then I saw that probe pull from the natural rofl. Ah... that's why lol.
The peek at 7:50ish could be him counting buildings and seeing what was there. Just overall checking to see what was there maybe he forgot. Still guilty, but I actually do that kind of a peek sometimes to see what the hell I forgot I saw.
Yeah, that one seems pretty reasonable: legitimate info there if someone wanted to double check etc. Sus if they're already sus, but otherwise seems meh. Later at 13:40 though, there's nothing there they should be able to see: and again at 14:10, what do they think they're rechecking, the map layout hasn't changed 😆.
theres something i love about old-school gamers who see someone they suspect of cheating and instead of complaining or saying anything they just go "Challange accepted" and just beat them anyway. which often leads to the most glorious of meltdowns as theres no bigger of a sore loser than someone who cheats and still fails.
The hacker's dilemma is your MMR is just going to increase to the point at which you lose about half of your games despite the hacks. So, your fragile ego is going to run into the same problem again, just a few hundred MMR higher. Except you'll always lose because you're being obviously outplayed.
@@kugeltmg Yes and it's not like chess where you can easily have cheat engines that will obliterate everyone. Maybe some start using bots that automatically do some mechanics but it's not playing anymore.
@kugeltmg which really shows that maphacks and other cheats will only get you so far I mean what good is seeing the whole map if your not skilled or coordinated enough to use all of that information, plus a player with enough experience will find a way to outsmart you or outplay you and then your map hacks are basiclly decoration for all the good they do you
Dear Captain, that is in fact not how starport production works. Once the tech lab dies, any additional ravens past the first one will be kicked out of the queue as though you manually cancelled them.
Thank you, I was wondering, that seemed like an exploit. Sure the one in production would continue, but not the following ones. Imagine that I could get 5 BCs even after the fusion core is destroyed, or 5 thors without a tech lab.
Dang, I was with Harstem, I thought that is how it worked too. However, I just tried in in the current game, Heart of the Swarm, and Wings of Liberty, and you are correct. However, in the original StarCraft that is how it always worked, and I did confirm this just now, so that could be why Harstem, and also I, thought that is how it worked
Gosh, this TheDevin guy sure knows his game and his talk. Hah, its like that saying "don't walk if you can't talk!" Great game, great chats! I might even let TheDevin have my wonder pink.
15:35 that ''haking we are'' remembered me when at school you used to fart, and when realizing it smells you just immediately blame on someone else to not get caught
It would be kinda ironic if someone submitted a replay where both them and their opponent was hacking. That push with no blink no charge into two tanks and then looking away like "oh yeah i win that fight ez game" was some real hopium right there.
TheDevin won this game in every manner - physically, mentally, psychologically and morally. His strategies went past the game, and he was able to not only identify his opponents in game weak spots but his mental ones as well. And it was glorious.
As an older player, I would like to drop this little gem to the aspiring young hackers out there: If you find yourself in a game and roasted to bits, you can always insult their mother.
I mean, from the moment the guy litteraly pulls out his probes on a pixel perfect timing while waiting on the highground with stalkers, its already just too much, with the 3 stalkers warpin in the main 1 second before the liberator arrives plus the screen peeking between his b3 and b2 checking exactly where the army is... like its not even about logic here its litteraly probabilty and statistics, JUST those 3 events happening to the same person in the same game is just impossible
Hackers don't have to screen peek on replays; the hacks have a function where they can lock the screen (it's only when they forget or don't use it where they slip).
WE could also tell he was much worse than his opponent, so he had to get up to that level by cheating. It's also telling that every time he lost an engagement he flamed his oponent because he knew he was supposed to win from his advanced vision.
Reporting does work. Have an alt accounted that had been muted for some period and already met other accounts in the same state (little red x near protrait) and that would goes for offensive chatting, so most probably more seriously issues are also addressed.
Mutes are automatic after (3?) reports for language in a certain timespan. Bans/account actions for cheating reports are not automated as far as I know.
I sure hope so. Had to report someone for explicit and detailed death threats the other day; would hate to think reporting makes no difference at all. (Yes, he ruined my evening. I don't care to become so callous that I could just ignore that.)
Imagine Devin was actually hacking and then sent the replay to Harstem in some kind of sick mind game because he knew that Harstem would only look at Protoss POV 😂
I love the "2 tanks kill everything" Bro you got Anti-armored missiled, he had plenty of bio, and you didnt even have blink. How are you gonna balance whine?
it make sense, a way to save your ego, when u hack and loose anyway, is to assume the other one is haking too. And i am starting to think its a general rule, because i saw this multiples times now, when someone accuse you to be haking for no reasons, you can consider that he might be hacking instead, and investigate... if u care enough.
If it wasn't for the worker pull I'd have said this guy doesn't hack, since nothing else was nearly as definitive as the worker pull. Surprised this hacker lost to a proxy rax last game though? Perhaps he lost to the proxy then decided to turn his hacks on.
I mean damn ;/ like don't give suggestion to your enemy to check the replay :D if he wins just say gg and move on in your hacker career don't call him hacker :D that's the biggest self report you can do in that moment :D
I run into probable map/ping hackers like 1 in every 5 games on the NA server. (Opponents predicting exactly where my units/hidden proxys are, constantscreen peeks, immediate lag on my end while my opponents apm skyrockets to 10kapm) It's pretty obvious in the replays, but I'm horrible at this game anyways and reporting does absolutely nothing 😢
I'm sorry but that rate is just surreal kkkk I'm D1 on NA and only a phew games one time or the other feels like hacking. Being honesty, I get called out to be hacking most of the time, but is just the guy who sucks kkk
@PixelPower23 watch all your replays from the opponents POV. even the games you win. I'm only plat at my best but there's a ton of hackers in lower leagues. Its a plague. Seems like it, seems like he proxy reaper did some good damage and then moved out at about 4-5 mins and finished the guy off with the same type of army comp these are the things I would be asking b4 passing judgement
Why would anyone hack at SC2? Sure, you get more MMR, but you'll be playing opponents with better micro, better macro and that's just frustrating, no? And as bonus, when they realize (like Devin) you're hacking - there goes your only advantage.
That was great fun to watch, but I’m not quite certain that was a hacker. True I have no explanation for the stalker warp in, but the probe pull is explained by the fact that he was scared of reapers and chose to defend the jump up, leaving the 2nd base vulnerable. Pulling a he probes would be consistent with fearing an imminent reaper attack. Could be lucky. I only give that a 70% chance of being a hacker, which is not enough for a ban IMO.
He pulled the probes before he saw a single reaper. Also was massively spam moving the stalkers to the high ground, again before seeing any reapers at all. It'd be one thing to move the stalkers up there then pay attention to other stuff, but the spam clicks show he thinks that's important and he chooses to focus on it for several seconds. And then would you look at that the thing he weirdly focused on that should have been just a single click just so happened to be the most direct threat at the time which he'd know if he was hacking.
Harstem anonymizes the player being complained about. I'm glad he didn't anonymize TheDevin, though; dude deserves praise for that performance in every way.

Sadly 'regular' reports in Blizzard games do nothing 95/100 times unless they're about so-called 'communication abuse'' aka. spamming/raging/hate
