So good to see you putting out videos once again. I know a lot of time and work goes into producing these. I for one am very grateful. By the way could see your reflection 😁nice stash and glasses 👍
I've got a couple of typewriters that have carriage return issues similar to this one. Been scratching my head for a while wondering what could cause that. Now I have a better idea of things to check!
Your videos are always very interesting, I also have a Skyriter which at the moment is fine but if I had that problem with the marginator now I would know how to fix it, thanks.
Hey Duane…I have a 1958 Smith Corona Clipper. For some reason my right margin does not seem to hold anymore. The left works fine but the right the carriage continues past the right margin without hitting the margins release key. Would you be able to help me on this? Thanks! I was able to open the back by removing a very small screw on each side of the carriage. I see where the black clip hits that middle piece to stop the carriage. The left margine black clip goes past because it goes past the middle clip. Do I bend the left margine clip back so it hits that middle piece or do I try and and bend the middle piece forward but if I do that, it may not align with the right margine. The only thing that I can bend this stuff with are needle nose pliers. Thanks!
This can be tricky, I know the margin slider is not bendable, I usually adjust the piece in the middle that engages the right margin. Also check the margin release for binding, could cause similar problem

Great video! Thank you. I felt so proud of myself, I called the tool you would use, the danged ol Dremel. Lovely fix. 🎉
Great fix!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.

@@phoenixtypewriter2136 okay I will try the middle piece and see if I can bend it. Thanks Duane and I love Rush too!
I am just here to see the Skyriter. Look how tiny the platen knobs are.
