I built a hydrapple deck where the point was to make him a raid boss. It has fortress to accelerate and duskskull to get down to one price card. Lastly heros cape to make him tankier. Also have heal items. No boss needed when on one prize card, it was all counter catchers.

Toedscruel Ex was already one of my favorite decks, and this is just a beefier version of that with the tradeoff of needing rare candies. An absolute blast to pilot. Thanks for this!
I feel like codebreaker would be a good support for this deck, helps guarantee the hydrapple pieces and since you're using ogers ability anyway, it'd synergise pretty well

I run hype-apple eith grand tree, colress' Tenacity, 1 artizon and a 2/2 dundunsparce package. Overall, its pretty consistant
Kind of late to the party here, but I've had fun putting 1-of Hisuian Lilligant V and it's VSTAR to help with finding even more energy and whatever grass 'mons I'm still missing. Feels good to play the VSTAR ability and immediately draw 4 with all of my Ogerpons. Others have already mentioned it, but Toadscruel ex is also great for bench protection!
I put Toedscruel Ex and single prize Toedscruel in my Hydrapple deck because Regidrago and Dragapult are popular near me. Also threw in Hisuian Lilligant Vstar to help set up. Some times I whiff the rare candy into Hydrapple, so I felt like a couple Arvens wouldn’t be bad
I found a deck posted on Reddit with 4 Dondozo and 40 water energy cards.
The reason it was 330 and not 300 is cause the attack is 30+ and not 30x.

I want this deck to be viable so badly but it gets steamrolled by most decks. Had some success against zard and terapagos but its just too slow compared to bolt even other stage two decks like dragapult. Hopefully the next few sets have some cards that can at least put it on equal footing with the other stage twos.

You did have the KO around the 20:30 mark, you had 240 plus the attachment for turn meaning 270
He had no other way of accelerating

Hydrapple is easily my favourite ex of the set. I feel like the deck is so close to being meta but it's just missing something to push it over the edge. Hopefully someone cracks the code/more support comes in future sets cause this deck is just a blast to play
Ya, it feels to me like a turbo deck that just can't KO turn one really well is the main issue. It can KO anything like roaring moon late game without downsides, and does not run out of "steam" like miridon but if it does not set up well early you just seem to far behind.
To add to that if this game if hypothetically, just for fun, this game was an 8 prize card game with like 80 cards in the deck this Hydrapple deck would steam roll a lot more of the meta. It would be far to powerful and bulky.
If its any consolation im trying it out with ciphermaniac to act as a grass irida, since you can get candy apple turn two with ogerpon/fez one or the other works

You can teal dance for every Ogerpon you have? I thought it was once per turn? (very new to the TCG 😅)
As long as you have the available ogerpon you can continue to use teal dance
Day 11! Hydrapple adds to the grass acceleration cards, and it really seems to be benefiting it quite nicely!

How do you get your applin consistently tho? Where are your poffins? Where is Manaphy to protect the bench? Where is a 1-1 line of Toadcruel Ex and Toadscool to say shove off to Dragapult Ex and its brutally unfair phantom dive attack? Why are you running four rare candies and only 3 Hydrapple Exs and no Dipplin when the new Dipplin has an attack that does a "mammoth" 20 damage and says shove off to any basic pokemon? I just need to know why no poffins.

Take out three grass energy and add in 2 Cancel Cologne and a Dipplin - This will lose to a Mimi/Ogre stall and if there eri two rare candies its hard to fight so dipplin helps but other then that this is fire

you might like the deck i build that in one turn i did over 1000 damage and yes i have a screen shot of the damage but it only over if you hit for weakness

240 dmg for 7 energies. It's just bad.
Not really when you can accelerate like 5 energy a turn. And the energy is spread out so when hydrapple is KO’d you don’t lose all of the energy
Hydrapple is actually good. I got to arceus with it easily. If you go first, win everytime. If you go second it’s 50/50
