Speaking as a US Army veteran, it's nice to see a photographer actually film the troops instead of following the band everywhere.
I mean, I get it. The band is pretty and the music lovers really enjoy that... especially the pipers. But the band is there because of the privates in the column and, speaking as somebody who often marched in the middle of the third file [and was therefore invisible], it's nice to the actual working soldiers get some shine.

Gals shouldn't be mixed with the men. It's totally ridiculous the Woke Weaky stuff that society is doing.

I’ve just watched the Royal Navy doing similar. WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT! Not as a service, but as a detachment. No drill discipline and no obvious pride in what they were doing!?
I’m absolutely SURE that the RN has immense pride, but why put out these numpties to represent the Senior Service?!!
I served for 29 years in the Army, so I have some ‘skin in the game’.

Bless Percy getting upset at Matelots. The Senior Service, unlike the other 2 services, it doesn't have the same love affair with synchronised walking as the Army especially the Guards Regiments which are positively anal about this stuff. Those who attend these ceremonial events are drawn from ships and establishments. The present monarch is a matelot, this mother the late Queen was married to a matelot. Being the Senior Service formed in 1546, by Royal Proclamation, we have the honour of always being at the head of these occasions. The late Queen was pulled on a gun carriage at here State Funeral, by matelots a tradition that goes back to Queen Victoria's funeral when the army couldn't control its horses pulling the gun carriage and the Royal Navy stepped in and tradition was born. So enjoy your marching up and down. Kind regards The Royal Navy 😀 😊😊. I did 22 years in the Senior Service.
