Thanks 😊 I think that's why they killed the electric car 🤪 On a side note some of the first cars were electric people actually preferred them especially women because they weren't dirty like the gas cars. But I think because of range and the fact gas was cheap the gas car ruled till recently.

I went by the museum last month just to get a picture of the gas pump (didn't know it was behind a fence!) and while there a lady who worked there, stopped me as I was pulling out of the place, asking me if I wanted to go in the museum. Told her because of time issues I couldn't (wasn't part of my schedule) so she seemed unhappy. Oh well. Thanks for showing us!

I'm a car nut. I've lost footage before and it was not a happy day. That race car is pretty sweet. I've never heard of an EV1 electric car. Sounds like it may have been before its time. Too bad they destroyed them. I think that Corvette motor HAS been used like you said. That Ford Cadillac is sweet. Tank for the lights is huge. The army jeep is very cool. In the south they mount their guns in the back window of their truck. Great video.

That Indian head must be a Pontiac! Nice collection there. Little bit of everything👍🏼 EV1 is an interesting story. So many tales of how big oil had bought all types of other patents too that could have kick started a future with less reliance on oil. GM is back in the game now.

Another stop we missed on Route 66. Don't you hate it when you lose footage .I was having audio issues with my Hero 5 and just upgraded to the Hero 9. Next time you come up north go the Pontiac car museum in Pontiac, IL on Rte 66 you will love it. Interesting story on EV1 and the parts issue...you would think it was have standard GM parts. Yep 75 mpg wouldn't that be awesome 😎 Car gas mileage is a weird thing I can't say they've made much improvements on that. My first car a 79 Malibu got the same mpg as my 2018 ford and my 99 Corvette isn't that weird two V8s getting the same as a v6

That is kinda crazy having to light your car lights. That EV1 was pretty cool in an ugly car kind of way looked so 90's on the inside.
