  • After 4 visits to Angkor Wat, it's time for me to see the iconic sunrise over the temple. From Siem Reap, Cambodia we woke up at 4:45AM, got picked up by our tuktuk driver, and set out for the Angkor ruins. Recently, the sunrise at Angkor Wat was voted the best sunrise in the world. We'll see about that.
    Shout Out to these Tuktuk Drivers who will give you an AMAZING tour of Angkor Wat!

    Of course it's worth it. I did it in 2011 as part of our charity cycle ride across Vietnam & Cambodia, it was an amazing experience although getting up at 3am for it was a bit of a struggle.

    Your commentary is HILARIOUS! Thanks for your information. I heard that visitors who wear shorts are not allowed to enter the shrine located on the top floor of Angkor Wat. But in your video, I saw a number of visitors wearing shorts! Do the authorities at the shrine still ban visitors with shorts from entering the temple?

    Cambodia has the highest tourism recovery rate in SEA, however, it's still relatively quiet at Angkor Wat. Recommend going now before airlines schedule new flights. Also, recommend flying into Phnom Penh and bussing over to Siem Reap for a real Cambodian experience, as the newly built airport is extremely far from Angkor Wat and expensive to get too.

      Yes, the buses and minibuses from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap are comfy and easy. I made a video about it here: ruclips.net/video/rLhVmFQzfFk/видео.htmlsi=N7CkjfSJrBKi-Egh

    I liked the video if not the crowd. Are there ugly sunrises? There are cloudy days or foggy ones maybe. For me through the mangrove on the East coast of Pattaya was memorable and up the mountains in Pokhara where the sun rises over the Himalayan peaks. Pretty magical.

    • @3guaguas
      @3guaguas 3 месяца назад

      Haven't been to sunrise but in my opinion sunset is amazing. Angkor wat causeway is lined up for sunset. I think the sun rise tour is a con, if anything, because it's all trees on that side of the temple.

    Here's my two cents for you that you only hear from me. Angkor wat represents something like King Norodom Sihanouk, dictatorship. The King is god. That's right. Cambodian kings destroed Cambodia everywhere. If you read Cambodian history carefully, you would find that King's thirst of sex lead to the loss of part of Cambodian empire. I'm not joking. It's in there. Ask Cambodian elders how they lost part of their empire to Vietnam. Sihanouk is a prime example. He would do anything for his power. That's right. He was a major part that the Khmer Rouge won the war and came to power. You know what happened after that. I'm not joking.

    Cambodians never knew Angkor wat existed nor searched for it or its history, its the western historians, researchers mainly Henri Mouhot of france who discovered Angkor and suddenly its Cambodian now due to money, if there wasn't any money angle, see how long Angkor wat would last and preserved by the cambodians also its the Indian government who restored some of the temple along with other NGOs, What is the contribution of Cambodia, except for collecting entrance fees
