For loosening pivots buy some permatech valve lapping compound. Most auto parts stores have this. A little tube lasts forever. Put on any tool pivot and work it in. Spray the grit out with WD-40. Works amazing. Makes all my linesmen and pliers free drop.

Nice haul Tom. I have that exact same metal box and it has housed a Snap-on 1/4" set for the last 30 years. It's still my go to set.

That show was awesome! It's so much fun just hanging out and seeing what everyone brought and bought! I'm sorry Tom when you said you bought the V blocks I assumed you bought both, I never would have let you leave with just one! LOL I think that guy and his brother sell at Copake flea market. Kent is awesome, he is like a tool guru! He took me to his trunk to show me something and it was so neat and organized! Meanwhile I open my truck and stuff is falling out everywhere. (embarrassing) Jacktown in a couple weeks! You better bring lots of cash. =D

Those Chevy bow ties were a good find! Also I’m glad those pliers were fixable. Really good advice to use a nut and scotch tape to mushroom the rivet. Great work😀👍

Your big chisel is also used by carpet installers. Most Tools have many uses. Needle nose pliers are a stable in my shop. I enjoy the fact you’re restoring tools to. Today most tools from China are like the new cars. There will not be a lot of restoration of them. Nice job.

I was there too, I got some stuff I wanted and saw some stuff that others bought before I figured out who was selling it, and was kicking myself a few times.

Oh you bought the Walden Tin! I forgot it had tool bits in the box. It took me 3 weeks digging through my friend's van and tool bins at Bellmore trying to look for those bits. The drive handle, I don't think it's bent. They casted the aluminum with the shaft off center. There was another tool lot with a Walden Tin lot with bits. I tried bidding on, but it just went too high for my wallet. Would have been a good way to combine a complete set. There was any awesome Machine shop sale out in West Babylon, I kick my self for not pick up the V blocks and clamps. They had boxes of them, and all in good clean conditions. I tried contacting them to do a second round of picking, but they never called me back.

Stevens Walden Socket Set. I have that set from the late 60's bought new. Looks like you are missing sockets, extension, ratchet, etc. My ratchet no longer "ratchets" very well. My wife now uses the case for sewing supplies and the rest of the pieces are massed with other socket supplies.

Great video and haul Tom. Must be something to be picking around with a tool-celeb. Wish I could've been there. Those Eagle oliers are something else, I saw a 66 here in the Netherlands short while back but they were asking € 40. Maybe worth it but I need more stuff like a kick in the..
