He’s an excellent shot stopper I think we should get him
Strong hands good shot stopper parries it away from the danger. Need to see how good he is with his feet also.
Pushing the ball into play never works in the Premier for a keeper. I hope he gets his shot, learns and does well for the Toon.
Dear Professor, Mamardashvili became the second day best player at EC 2024.
What’s he like with the ball at his feet? It’s not the most important thing in the game, but when we’ve already got a brilliant shot-stopper in Pope we need someone who is capable of more, and the feet aspect is where Pope is lacking
Second this guys comment. Need clips of how he is with the ball at his feet. For our goalkeeping dept to go to that next level we need a guy with hands as good as pope but with superior feet.
Lo mas importante de un portero es que pare balones y salve partidos. Mamarsda a día de hoy es el mejor del mundo
his long ball acc is only 28%
pass acc is 46%this season
last season was 35% and 59% respectively
FYI, Pope is around 34% and 71% this season
Crosses are important got to be able to deal with them aswell not enough coverage of balls into box
cheers for these videos mate, need more NUFC creators
Amazing GK!
I remember Mat Sels reel looked like this as well 😂
Great Signing..
High timing of the ball and the version of David de gea
He parrys the ball a lot into danger it seems not sure how good he is with the ball at his feet either, anyways he is very young for a gk and has time to learn should be a good signing
Pope stands no chance against him. This guys has the Gigi spirits in him.
Younger Pope. Not a vital position. But is PSR and FFP wasnt an issue I'd definitely get him.
It is vital as Dubravka and Karius will both be leaving and Pope is now a huge risk with his shoulder injury
His tendency to spill the ball after making a save is a concern. A few of these clips stopped just after the save, where if they'd continued I suspect the opposition went on to score on the rebound. Looks like he also loves a punch, which again is a bit risky. I'd say his handling needs some work. I don't see how he's an upgrade on Pope, especially considering his passing stats for the season. Still, he's young enough, so maybe he can work on the distribution and handling aspects of his game.

Looks solid! Get him signed noo🎉😂
He could of a caught a lot of those. Seems a good keeper, but a show keeper
This man. He looks like an absolute liability.
El mejor portero del mundo. The best
Which goalkeeper is good at passing in laliga
Is it just me who isn't that impressed here? Seeing a lot of times where he should be smothering the ball but he keeps making saves by having the ball ping off him in a random direction. Maybe for a #2 but that's it.
That's how you save, the thing you should see is if the parries are landing back in the box near the penalty spot or away from the box.
:))))))))) Dear Professor, Mamardashvili became the second day best player at EC 2024.
Welcome to Chelsea
If we sign him it looks like he’ll keep Nick Pope on his toes
Bro I'll have him in ahead of Pope .
he has no passing at all huh
Wont need that we arent arsenal or city
@@Mansukh09 yeah but we are building towards that mate we got pope already similar profile to this guy we have to go for someone else
@mukhtarmuhamud1539 eddie howes style of play isnt possession based and we have saw teams that dont need possession win titles like mourhinos chelsea, or jurgen klopps liverpool, or even Inter
@@Mansukh09 jurgen klopp liverpool depends on GK playing with his feet like allison goalkeepers now need to be able to play with their feet and as well stop shots whats the points of going for this guy are we trying to become brentford longball fc with the likes pf arsenal and city in the league mate we have to dominate possetion of the game to win doesnt mean we are playing like city but to dominate you have to have ball dominance for the majority of our games
Ramsdale? Feet also an issue
Hurry up get Giorgi signed up sunderland afc are sniffing around are Sunderland a big club 🤣🤣🤣
Spider-Man
why do we want another top keeper? Pope is better
No he is not
Because he's dislocated his shoulder twice and his last injury fu*ked our season?
Stop being so blindly emotional Mike. Nick has now shown he has an Achilles (second shoulder dislocation) and these are not only long time recoveries, but become 1/ more prone to happen, and 2/ longer and longer recoveries every time.
Since Nick’s arrival Dubbs has made it quite clear he does not like to sit on the bench, and if we have any aspirations of rising through the ranks in the EPL we need top level alternative choices in EVERY position, especially keeper.
The problem is this video only shows him as a shot stopper but the real question is, is he actually a modern day sweeper keeper, can he play with his feet and command his third of the pitch, which our style of play demands.
We play a full pitch press, which means a high defensive line. And the simple ball over the top has cost us a lot this season as Dubbs is loathe to leave his box. He is a good shot stopper but does leave us vulnerable to the long ball as he is slow to leave his line.
In that resepct this video is shite. It shows nothing.
@@cupiddstunt If injuries were the judgement of a player we would be selling alot more than we are keeping this season. I thibnk we missed a trick with karius who, with a bit of confidence and some game time could have been better than Dubs
@@mikem9309
OK to quote you:- “If injuries were the judgement of a player” please point out where I have judged Nick.
Read my comment again and you will see all I have done is state facts by pointing out the obvious, and I repeat, we now have a keeper that has an Achilles heel, a left shoulder that has dislocated TWICE.
Nick now has an inherent weakness, connective tissue NEVER regains full strength, muscle damage even when quite severe can often be recovered yes, connective tissue not so much, and recovery from connective tissue (because it is none vascular) damage is very long term recovery. So we now have a keeper with a built in weakness, a time bomb as it were that could go off at any time.
To know this and NOT plan around it by not bringing in a top level keeper is absolute madness. Dubbs wants to move out to be first choice keeper somewhere to protect his international selection. Karius wants to be nearer to Italy and his partner and child. NUFC are absolutely correct in looking for top level competition/backup for Nick.
And if you think Eddie missed a trick with Karius then you are in the wrong employment, you should be a top half epl manager/coach. When Gilespie was being interviewed about his game winning penalty save by the pundits Eddie made a point of interrupting and heaping praise on Mark for his work. Do you actually think Eddie is not aware of the psychology aspects of player coaching?
