u can speak English & can say 'mei ko hindi ya odiya acchi se nahi aati'(I used to use this phrase when i was in 1st yr). Even there is 1hour odiya class for formality during sundays in 1st yr but it didn't help because language can only b learned when it's put into practice,just attending odiya classes won't help. On due course u will learn hindi as it was also a language taught in school,it's easy,if any word that u can't understand just google it & usually most of patients can understand hindi except rare pure odiya,bengali patients,then ur odiya classmates help u.U will learn odiya from friends,faculty,patients(while clinical postings),guards etc.
