Love fishing the Annan, used to go down 3-4 times a year with my father all through my teens, had some of the best fish of my life from that river and never a trip without a fish!
The REAL Scottish record grayling came from the Isla and it was a bit over 7lbs... Many moons ago before the self righteous british record fish committee threw out a number of older records because they didn't meet their brand new standards. Which are so hard to meet that many a genuine record fish goes straight back into the water... Which is completely self defeating!
Scottish Grayling????? Your having a laugh!! They are just babies... Fish over 4lb are now regular in Scotland! They fish you see on this video are no bigger than 1lb!!

The grainy photo that I have seen of that (in)famous 7lb fish does not look much like a grayling.
Looks like a pretty average Annan grayling to me
Not near a Scottish record lady!!
