My best friend in high school was a genius. she got a full scholarship to juilliard for violin. In middle School I was beat by an incredibly talented girl every Field day, her name was sky. @@normster1000 *picks mike* and other men and the whole society are shaming women for it. It's a subject so taboo that during my extreme depression...phases? I would cut myself because I hated it. It was something I couldn't control yet being in a household where we would literally whisper to say "I got IT" when all we should have said was "yeah I got my periods,can you tell me where the pads are?" i hated myself already but as if all the pressure from the bullying due to my sexuality wasnt enough,the pressured being a girl,a brown one at that, was just something else. And one thing I've noticed between racism and sexism is that racism,you cant deny it exists cause you fear you'll appear racist,atleast in my country. But for sexism,you get that pressure as a woman to talk talk about it or you'll be called whiny or just plain "shut up" is enough for them to express how THEY feel. Now I could go on and on on how sexism leaves a scar on your life, gives you wounds that cant be healed even after years but no one! Actually. Cares. *leaves knowing it made no difference to anyone*
Im not sure EVERYTHING we achieve is a plus.

I love when Lilly turns it “off” and just has a real conversation with her guest like in the end of the interview versus the start.
I love the Quins so much. _Don't believe the things they tell you_ and _I'm just like you_ are so good. I'm so glad that I'll get to read their memoir.
The memoir was so good, I read it in like three days! But the way their mom handled Sara coming out was really tough and hit me in the feelies because I'm experiencing something similar decades later.

Diya K you’re in luck! many Tegan and Sara performances, including their hilarious banter, are on RUclips. There used to be this huge channel by someone who went to a lot of their concert but it got taken down recently for apparently one video of a Hanson show. The channel owner is hiring lawyers to reverse that though. But there are still lots of fun moments to watch on RUclips! And Tegan and Sara have been a band since 1998 so I think it’s really interesting to see how they’ve changed (or haven’t) over the years
I like Lilly's style in this segment. She looks great in suits.

No sane German would go there :D I mean if you're from New York you don't ride the subway when you can avoid it even tho it's world famous.
Its more Bavarian than German isnt it? Considering it relates to past Bavarian royality/its a total tourist trap nowadays (Im not from Germany but despite being to Munich 3 times, I thankfully avoided Oktoberfest everytime).
I'm too old to know who any of these guests are but I don't care. I'm enjoying the show, Lilly.

I have to say the lighting isn’t good at all in my opinion. I’m not an expert but the background is very dark and it darkens Lilly and all the guests. On the other hand though it’s a late late late show that puts you straight to sleep cause it’s hard to see.
