I love pumpkin cookies. I have added mini chocolate chips to our cookies for just a touch of extra goodness to them!!! Love your cooking videos!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Love these. The first pan is out of the oven and tested. Yum I made 1/2 the recipe, reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup, and added 1/2 tablespoon molasses. My husband can't have nuts, so I added a few raisins instead.
My recipe. Oh, yes, it is a good one. I always add a little nutmeg. I think it was my grandmother’s. Sometimes I add a Tblsp of sour cream or cream cheese.
I noticed that you put spices, baking powder, salt, etc. in glass containers instead of leaving them in their original packaging. Is there a special reason for that? I am thinking maybe I need to do that, too! Love this video - I was looking for a pumpkin cookie recipe like my Mom used to make - and here it is! Thank you!! ❤
Thank you. I do that for a couple reasons. For the herbs & spices, one reason is so that they will all fit on my spice shelves and look nice. But my herbs and spices that I use come from many places. Some are in bottles, some come in pouches or bags, some are grown in the garden. But as far as the other things, baking soda, etc. Glass jars are air tight, waterproof and pest proof. One ant infestation 20+ years ago made me re-think all of the containers that I keep food items in.
Do those stones have to be seasoned? I had one, but everything kept sticking to it. Wait until your grandkids all come home. You’ll need the full recipe then!😊 Is this dough freezeable?
Yes they do, similar to cast iron. Over time they become extremely non-stick. I've never frozen the dough, just the cookies. I would imagine you could though.

@@CosmopolitanCornbread100% agree. One infestation of pantry moths changed everything.
Thanks for the info! I'll be switching out my pantry containers, too! ❤
When you have extra pumpkin what do you do with it. I have frozen i when I've made pumpkin bread and had extra is that what you find best to do?
I would say yes, as long as it's packaged correctly and you don't forget about it. If you don't use it often, you may just want to chuck it.
I normally either freeze it or feed it to my chickens 😊
