I was just in Albania a last month, it is a nice country , helpful people. Tirana easy place to visit or live
I did a 7 country run also went to Lviv Ukraine I wanted to just be a tourist and help the economy in a tiny way. Lviv was wonderful, the people friendly and helpful so many spoke English. It's a walk around city, also a great electric trolley transportation.
Lviv is in a very safe zone on the western side. I also like Serbia, Romanaia and Poland maybe because they had so many English speakers I could connect to.

Nice video Dan. It's rather interesting. I do love Europe and I have traveled for work to France, Germany, UK, Denmark, Sweden, and Spain. I liked my time there, but I realize that as I near retirement, I'm really looking to Southeast Asia for traveling and eventually retirement. I have taken a couple of recent trips to Japan and I realized that I love that part of the world (even though I don't speak Japanese). For me, I realized the reason why is related to the flow of life and more importantly how the asian countries deal with stress. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that people born and raised in those countries need to deal with their own cultural forms of stress, but what I'm talking about is the comparison between the rat race here in the USA versus everywhere else in the world!
I realized that the European Union for me has more stress than what I experienced in Tokyo Japan. Now when you think of Tokyo, you are talking about the most populous city in Japan and it might be considered the most stressful area for a western traveler to visit especially when they don't speak a lick of Japanese. The interesting thing is, I found Tokyo actually less stressful than my travels to Europe with a significantly cheaper cost of living in Japan.
So that brings me to my ask. I would love to see your thoughts on a "stress comparison" scale for when you compare locations like you did in this video. I love your views and what you have shown us is possible in various locations around the world! Keep up the great work Dan!

@@VagabondAwake Thanks Dan, but I gotta give credit where it's due. You gave me the idea as I found your channel during the pandemic which was an extremely stressful time for many of us. Your calm demeanor and presentation skills without passing personal judgement allowed me to listen to your travels and live a bit more stress free even though I'm still working in the USA. I realized that I started using a stress scale when viewing people's travel vlogs and as I age (further) I realize that I want to go to those places that will force me to slow down to their pace of life. In the end, it's my belief that I'll be happier!!!

I have a dilemma and I realize I'm in the minority. I don't have a pension I don't have social security coming in so I don't have any way to permanently live in Thailand even though I have a friend that's a lady that I've basically been dating for 4 years and visiting in Thailand they require a certain amount of money coming in most places do but to my knowledge Philippines doesn't require a monthly income and I'm pretty sure laos doesn't. I would like you or anyone on this comment section to correct me if I'm wrong but there's no monetary requirements in Philippines are allowed meaning I could stay in laos for August 6th months and travel to 3 hours to her in Thailand and she doesn't require a visa to go to allow from Thailand or I can live in the Philippines without any money requirements and not get a certain visa and just keep extending for 3 years if I had the money for that time. And leave for one day and start over and keep doing it over and over and being close to her. It's just a dilemma for people that don't have a lot of money or don't have a certain income coming in but love visiting those countries. Even the expats that live in those countries are derogatory towards visiting that don't have the money for the big expensive visas. It's pretty sad actually even in the Philippines being that you can just keep extending for 3 years leave for a day come back expats that pay the big money for the certain visas look down upon the Americans that come there and don't have the money to pay for those visas and it's pretty sad because it insinuates you have to have a certain amount of money to enjoy this world
