Man! Glad to hear that pricking through the thread happens with experienced artisans. I thought this was an amateur error. I started working with blunt needles to reduce the chance of this happens. Great tips!

For snags I’m in the habit of giving the thread that the needle is trying to pass by a little pull. If the needle doesn’t move then I pull the needle through. If the needle moves with the thread I pull the needle back out and try again. This has saved me a few times.

I love the fact you use a "3.00". The aesthetics of a "3.00" is unrivaled.

I switched up about a year ago. It's a much cleaner look with a 3.00.

too many diy lazy wallet sellers using thicker thread and 4-5mm irons. Absolutely bad. This dude's work looks nice and clean

How do you know your halves are going to align perfectly when you glue? The holes may be a tiny bit off but it still makes a big problem

Would you tell me please, what size of a thread did you use here?

    • @staggerleegoods5075

Yes. I use 35mm linen, nylon, poly, and # 8 Vinymo which is like a tex 90. I avoid thicker threads.

Stai facendo un sacco di confusione muovendo le mani troppo in fretta...
e dovresti usare fili di colori diversi per capire bene la tecnica....
