I can’t comfort you but I tell you the day in last November I had to let go my dog the night after I had a dream about her and I asked her if she is ok. I would like to share a somewhat similar story in case it brings some peace to Reem and anyone else dealing with the devastating loss of a pet.
In April 22, we suddenly lost our kitty, Stevie. It was devastating to say the least & I still struggle with losing him, but I'm coping with it better than I was for weeks. I was deep in depression for weeks. Strangers wouldn't be able to tell, but I was.
That awful night, I cried myself to sleep pleading for a sign that he was ok. Nothing. The next night, I wanted to stay awake until the hour that I got the awful call 10:51pm. Idk why, but one does odd things when grieving. I fell asleep before the time came with RUclips on, but somehow woke up again near that time and looked at my phone. A video was playing and there was a dog that I had told my sister months prior that looked like my Stevie! Stevie was our kitty, but we always said he looked like a tiny pitbull (light grey, a white little spot on his chest and short tail) I took it as a sign that he was ok.
Another night, I woke up to a video playing that said why God sent you a kitty.
But the most incredible thing happened the night we sadly went to pick his ashes up. I was hysterical that night as it made it real. In my room I have kitty toys for our other kitties. Well, around 2am (I couldn't sleep) one of the toy balls started to move on its own. My 2 other kitties were on my bed with me and were even perplexed staring down at it. It moved twice! I felt that was him saying he was ok 😭 You see, I kept pleading for signs everyday.
When the ball moving thing happened I prayed that he could go in peace, be happy and that he doesn't have to give us signs bc we'll be ok and we'll see him again one day. I haven't had that happen since.
I'm crying right now. We miss him so so so much, but I know he's ok....I struggled deeply with it, but coping. Stay strong, everyone 🙏❤️

I have lost my dog too, I went to the wet myself and the hole way and hold him in hand I pow and he took his last breathe… it’s the hardest ting I have done in my life and I still miss him every single day, he was a Bouvier des Flanders. #2 absolutely true, my ex came back, i went to the meeting with the intention to be forgiven and true to myself,but he, a player and narcissist, again fucked my mind after the meeting, and he even had another women in his apartment 😂,now i told him that he is shameless and out of my life forever, feeling so good. My heart goes out to your loss, my friend / soulmate / roommate and I had to say goodbye to our cat we had for 18 years he was also a friend / soulmate / roommate. So gentle and affectionate and playful. It’s definitely a grieving process (understatement). I’m so glad this community was and is supportive to you. Lol! I picked pile 1 and I’ve never selected based on zodiac signs so I decided to see if that aligned with the image and the crystal, and I’m a Scorpio with an Aquarius rising and moon Aries, so that one definitely works for me.
Pile 1 is exactly correct word for word for me. It seems I’m magically different, but when I think about it, I worked on being able to start to feel this way over years of work. Lots of childhood isolation and trauma from an undiagnosed congenital brain disorder, being seriously ill and isolated in the hospital ages 2-3, I was able to have my mother with me but not for a long time. When she was able to be with me, she barely left, resting and trying to sleep on a chair in my room. But for about 3 months at age 2, I didn’t have my mother or family. And I was confused and in pain and alone, but when I started feeling better, I immediately made friends with the hospital staff and other kids in the hospital. I also had a stillborn twin, and undiagnosed neurodivergence and learning disabilities. I knew I was different and not able to do things as easily, and I didn’t know why my experience seemed different from everyone else’s, why I seemed to struggle when others around me didn’t. Why I knew I learned things at school but didn’t know why I couldn’t prove it in the ways they accepted. This was why I developed this “maybe others get to have x and y in their lives and why I won’t be able to.” But it is about flexibility and perseverance which oddly, I am never without. Even when I want to be. I am always doing things the hard way, multiple times before a learn some things about the endeavour.
I also have PTSD from sexual assaults I survived over the years by different guys, and abduction (chains/ropes, stuck there). I did get free on my own, out of empathy, kindness, and luck and also taking the chance to try to get out. But I have survivors guilt and mostly trauma from how badly the police, health care, and judicial system all failed miserably by design. I knew it was bad, but the inside of these systems was a level of despair and frustration and powerlessness not only for myself, but for others. I’m working towards post traumatic growth with this, but part of that is accepting my anger and telling myself it’s valid.
I am learning to recognize how and when I feel comfortable asking for help and who is worth practicing letting people in and trying to learn how to actually relax while they’re around. I’m teaching myself about what I want and what I value in intimacy and teach myself how to literally relax which anxiety and trauma have prevented.
I also picked pile 2, which is interesting. The water. And this other person I think it could be, is a Pisces. Things can never be the same between us, which is really a good thing because he was abusive and I was in love then with an idea of him based on who I thought he was when we were very young. We did have a real friendship, but there were a lot of issues. It would be great to have that healthy friendship which was really all I ever wanted in the many years we were on again off again friends with benefits. He would have to admit to himself that he was abusive I think, in order for us to have a real conversation and heal. I don’t think he’s capable of this, but maybe he is. If not, that’s okay, we don’t need to be back in each others’ lives in this lifetime or any time soon.
They don’t understand that I value myself, I have integrity, I know my worth, and I don’t respect those above me without them working for / with respecting me. They don’t understand what it’s like to have been low income and having nothing to lose for most of your life. It reminded me of the time I worked for the town and my supervisor got in a backhoe and said “can you just steady that thing with your hand as I move the bucket? (A big, heavy metal box hanging from a chain from the bucket) with your hand?” And my hand would have had to be right in front of my head. I didn’t even have a a hard hat or anything. I laughed and said “no, I’m not doing that” and he seemed shocked and asked “well then how are we going to do this? We can’t.” And I said “then we can’t”. Having had near deaths makes me aware that life is too short and it’s really way too short for your job to be the thing that takes you down because of their carelessness.
