They had some tourists get to close to a group of African elephants in a so called " safe jeep " a few years ago . The elephants encircled the jeep & crushed it to pieces . Get as close as you dare, just remember they are the biggest land animal on the planet & deserve some respect !
That's the closest you'll get to having an elephant call out "BLOODY TOURISTS" moment. They were just annoyed by their presence, they didn't mean any harm.
They would definitely harm it they could. The dark spots on their back are a sign that the males in this group are in musth, sort of like a cat in heat, except a male elephant in musth becomes hyper aggressive, and will attack anything without consideration, even baby elephants.
Thank you for your response, Susaant Menon, however that is not what I meant. I also have heard elephants make this sound, therefore I know it is elephant trumpetting. My question is whether these elephants in this footage are making that sound while being recorded. What I am not sure about is if the sound is live or added later when the footage was edited to be watched (and heard) by us 🐘🐅🎥
Yes actually, this one is natural cause trumpetting doesn't have a trunk "style/pose" like the iconic sound and photo. Only when the elephant is curious he will make his Trump like that but no sound. But when they don't move their trunk they will do lot of sound and asian elephants have more common trumpets than africans cause africans like more to grown and roar. The iconic calls are actually modified asian elephant trumpets cause african trumpets is loud but less than asian.
Plot Twist: those two elephants were actually the friendly elephants from the beginning. They just trained them to do a fake charge if they had no good footage as a backup measure
No actually, Indian elephants are far more amiable. The proof lies in the fact that they are traditionally tamed for Temple rituals, royal processions at the Palace and nowadays even to brandish commercial ads around town.
Hmmmmmmmm as an animal expert I'll probably say the African elephants are more protectively dangerous than Asian elephants a little but I feel as if Asian elephants are more territorial 😉
They say Africa elephants are more aggressive. I've seen some African elephants come to people's pools and picnics on youtube and chillout. From what I've seen but I'm not expert of course, I would say Asian elephants are just as defensive.

Who are you talking to? Tigers are elusive mostly because they are ambush predators, they also have a natural camouflage that makes it very difficult to spot them even if they aren't actively trying to hide.
Oh shut up. India is using elephants to build a nuclear reactor. Those animals are looked after and cared for, because they are those mahouts livelihood. You wanna winge, winge about elephants in zoos and more importantly circuses. And the ones that die from starvation, horrifically, in the wild. But that's OK, isn't it... Cos wild...
You mean the pink skin, no its just their natural colouring as they age. Although I was surprised to see a chubby Komodo dragon - that's either a rescued and moved animal or they're in the Rinca/Komodo reserves - which makes no sense because those aren't stegodon elephants (extinct anyway). The Rinca elephants were about the size of a cow.
I gave this a big thumbs down because of the bathing scene. The guy poked then hit the elephant to get him out of the water. There's no reason why that beautiful animal had to be abused just for the making of this video, so sad.
To that elephant it would have been the equivalent of someone poking you on the shoulder with a finger. He didn't hurt it, he did something that it would feel and notice so it knows what the trainer would like it to do
He didn't disturb anyone. The herd looks to be moving through the jungle, with babies. The 2 elephants that charged the vehicles seem to be clearing the way, maximising safety for the babies, common behaviour within elephants and they will likely do it to ward off other animals too.
I love Steve Backshall he’s so pure haha
He's a moron and a mean drunk.
ELEPHANTS can not only kill you, but also make mincemeat of your vehicle. A tiger or lion cannot do that.
Oh I duno, Ive seen lions giving vehicles a good chew and damaging them in these safari videos.
Big Cats don't need that much iron. Is this the movie Duel, but with an alephant? A VERY ANGEY ELEPHANT?
Therefore we have weapons. Which can make mincemeat of stupid elephants.
I know that from far cry 4
@@lt.martincastillo5122 seems like your a bit salty.
That Bjork song was added in the video at the exact time, very good.

0:46 that “adri!” had me rolling. The man screamed at that elephant like he was his son 😭
Those elephants were like we told y’all stop coming around here trying to sell us them damn bags of peanuts
The asian elephants love the dried fruits

Go fast in these, you won't need the elephant to turn you over.
SHIIIT SHIITT!!! 😂😂
"Think they'll have that on the tour?"
Steve gave me a shortbread once. What a top guy 😂
This is like the tyrannosaurus chase scene in the original Jurassic Park.
Was the trumpetting sound really from the elephants in this footage? Somehow I doubt it, although I cannot be sure. The footage is fabulous though 🐘🐅
It is hard to tell

I think it's Herp Albert on the trumpet?

So peaceful until.... Haha😂
Is that a different elephant herd?
Vivek Maharaj yeah, the chasing elephants are wild..the ones shown in the starting are tamed..
Vivek Maharaj It is I believe
There something about Komodo dragons thats just terrifying.
Not really, London Zoo used to give little kids dragon rides. By little I mean toddlers. No one got eaten.

He is really All Mighty King.
Unlike tigers, you aren’t safe just hiding in your vehicle from those massive pachyderms. I’d just as soon not piss one off.
very nice animal
Scary .
Are Asian elephants more aggressive than African elephants?
There's multiple videos of african elephants showing similar behaviours towards people, so I wouldn't say that any is more aggresive than the other
No actually, Indian elephants are far more amiable. The proof lies in the fact that they are traditionally tamed for Temple rituals, royal processions at the Palace and nowadays even to brandish commercial ads around town.
Thanks, I found it strange they would charge a vehicle.. Maybe African Ellie's are more habituated to vehicles

Playing Bjork as the elephants charge. Interesting choice.
2:05 faster. Must go faster
Elephants have had it with people.
Why no captions
You guys remember that scene in Jurassic park with the t-Rex
Those elephants understand British Accent.
Was that Thailand? What part?
Seems Srilanka.
Could be Yala national park. Srilanka. Not been there, not sure.
Nik, Ha, Ha, I am a "he', also the narrator may be referring to leopards as tigers. Besides there a very few tigers in Srilanka.

Were elephants bigger long time ago? They look small now
And females and sub adults are smaller than the average.
Wreth yeah and they have smaller ears and hair on the top of their head sort of like a mohawk XD
K G if you're referring to fossil elephants, yes there were species even bigger than the African elephant.
Raymond Ancog yes such as woolly mammoth
@@solarsoul3020 they were same size dumb ass

You will leave my patch.
We suched and we suched.
I thought elephants were too fat to run
They can easily outrun you
There not fat there 4 to 8 tons of muscle, but there legs are designed to easily carry their bulk, so they can run and faster than you ever could.

That's frank
Keep rolling 2x.
And the other crew jeep was still there 😂😂😂
That's fun, right?
Tigers have to be elusive or people kill them! Don't blame them! Wow! That's what happens ! Wow,...you surprised him or her!

Tigers are elusive mostly because they are ambush predators, they also have a natural camouflage that makes it very difficult to spot them even if they aren't actively trying to hide.
