Mercury's voice and Gramms voice are two completely different styles. I agree both have great voices in rock music but Mercury had a very unique style. One voice musically that comes to mind that's wonderful is Klaus Mein of the Scorpions
I think that with both singers & guitar players there is a top tier & there are a number of guys in that top tier. You can’t really say one is better than another among those guys. It’s all subjective at that point. In my personal opinion Ronnie James Dio is the best, but is he really BETTER then Freddie Mercury, Paul Rogers, Bruce Dickinson, David Coverdale, etc: ? I’ve never really placed Lou Graham in that top tier, but that’s just me.
The second this song starts I am 9 years old and in the basement of my parents home. Every single time. Also when this song ends I automatically start singing you're all I am. I spent way too much time in that basement with this album. I still put this on in the car and crank the stereo up to "permanent hearing damage" level. Seriously my car stereo is so loud that I can't hear my own horn. Music should be felt with all of the senses
One of the best lead vocalist in my lifetime. This must be one of my favorite songs, it just pops in my head from time to time, and hangs out for a week.
Seriously....it doesn’t get better than this era. They know how to actually sing, and gasp play real instruments. Not just stand around trying to look pretty.
@@tudorrenegade7052 I was 15 when this song came out I had the first album already .THIS was the third song from Double Vision album number two by 1989 Lou made his second solo album Long hard look and i remember though i liked Lou on his own .In 89 Foreigner was so far away from what got them to the top it was dissapointing and Lou the singer left in May 1990 to form Shadow King he did return in '92 but they still couldnt rekindle the 🔥 they had in the early years. Im glad to see younger people recognize this music, it really was a good period for Rock bands .
Cali Rose, this is real music and soul poured into the the artform, no auto tune , drum machines and costume gimmicks. Music made in its purest form, not product placement or a mass produced sound created by hype and machines. I really miss REAL music and the feeling the lyrics, sounds and performers invoke in people. Brings a warm feeling and memories of a time in the past when music was a celebration of Life and all its facets displayed in the sounds and lyrics. ♥️
There's not too many voices out there better than Lou Gramm. Love that guy. He's in a very small group of singers who you can immediately tell who it is. Steve Perry is another, Ronnie James Dio was another.
I want all of their outfits. I've been listening to 70's episodes of American Top 40. I never realized how good they were. No matter the genre, 1978-79 had the best music.

I think the albums Double Vision and Head Games are so overlooked and just don't get the recognition they should. So glad i got to see them live in 1979 and 1982.
This band is a true rock and roll legend ❤❤ I love Lou Gram he has an amazing voice. Keep rocking. ❤❤❤

Well you'll be glad to know that just one month later after you commented, it was just announced today that they are going to be inducted.

Watch what you wish for. You might just get it.
They are being inducted this October.
Yep, it’s about damn time they got inducted!
Mick Jones was an awesome guitar player. Hopefully, this group gets into the Hall of Fame this year.
Meh...Lou Gramm was awesome though.
I miss you, Ian McDonald 😢
Foreigner definitely deserves the honor of the Rock n Roll hall of fame

so do Styx, Journey, REO Speedwagon& ChepTrick

Depends on my mood I recall dancing with a sweetheart girl at a jr high school at age 12....dang if I can remember her name...haa
Hell yeah used to get high in my parents garage with my friends blasting this.
Man I miss this voice.
I guess it doesn't matter... blue Monring!! But That was Yesterday!
Lou Gramm is the best! Definitely my favorite voice of 70/80’s rock and roll
Him and Bradly Delp.
There is no Foreigner without Lou Gramm
Agreed
I have a Blue Morning, my favorite color Blue day, every day.
Only the Strong Survive
To those who of us who are still jammin' to this in 2022, We Are Legend !
Can't beat early Foreigner and Lou Gramms awesome voice.
Can't beat Woman in Black.
This was the best line up of Foreigner I think. Gramm had a ''hard to find'' voice of diamond... great singer !
Vai(Go) Grammatico!
Kalimera
this was the 1977 original line up.
this is my mothers favorite band she's 81 and still rocking to foreigner.

THERE IS AT LEAST 10 OTHER SINGERS / BAND THAT ARE IN THE HALL OF FAME THAT ARE NOT WORTHY TO CARRY THESE BOYS SHOES

LIke the NHL! The Foreigner original 6 was the greatest line up!!!
Lou Gramm is an intense singer. He hits the rhythm in line with guitars and drums.
Rock perfection!
The rock and roll hall of fame is a sham. It is like the Emmys
Well they finally did something right because the boys are finally in
