90s = Attacks are more powerful but cannot be used regularly, only as desperation moves, other than Silence Wall. Eternal = Definitely better intro and actually has a transformation sequence. Attacks can be used normally but not as powerful as 90s version. I love both. I grew up with the 90s version but have to say I like Eternal a little more because Saturn has more screen time.

Even tho minutes ago she thought Saturn is guilty and shouldn't be awaken ever. What? Now that she was released again, she was all cool, holding no grudges anymore and finally explained her role and all the scouts were like, "Ooohhhh! Yo, this girl is dope AF! Let's raise her now that we know more about her" 🤣
I honestly think that every single one of Saturn's attacks should follow up with total audio silence. She is the only scout who can counter Sailor Moon's super sonic crying from episode 1 (I wonder if that attack is called Silent Sanctuary 😂)
I still wonder why that happens. Maybe her powers got nerfed in her ressurection so she could fight more balanced lol. That is, she can freely battle without sacrificing her own life
I think in the classic version, she never use Death Reborn Revolution which basically a reset the world attack. In the manga/eternal, Silent Glaive Surprise is a normal attack. For some reason in the classic, it acts as a instant kill move in exchange for her life.
The 90s anime changed a lot from the source material. Crystal is a lot more true to to it. They had to give Saturn some cool powerful moment in the 90s, because they completely took out her big moment in season 3. Silence Glaive Surprise is VERY underwhelming compared to DRR.

Silence Wall is a skill used for emergency its natural that it should be done faster so Eternal did that well Silence Glaive Surprise should mute surrounding sound and cause darkness in the area like in the 90s because its supposed to be a SILENT (no sound) SURPRISE (unforeseen).. 90s did it better for this skill however SGS isnt supposed to kill Saturn on the first place its her normal attacking skill and not Death Reborn Revolution so Eternal won this function of that skill

Actually Death Reborn Revolution wasn’t the world ending attack either. It’s just another one of her moves, one that generates a negative aura to disempower her opponent. She speaks no attack name to end the world, she merely drops the blade.

To be fair, they basically made Silent Glaive Suprise do what Death Reborn Revolution is supposed to do in the 90’s one. The fact she makes a giant field of energy around her followed by her slamming her glaive down in silence is exactly what she does in the manga. So it’s odd they decided to have her say Glaive Suprise instead when it’s clearly the other attack. And even tho they now made SGS just a slash of energy in Eternal it’s more disappointing they didn’t give her a cinematic sequence for it 🙄😓
Death Reborn Revolution is the attack used against Pharaoh 90 in the manga, but it's not Saturn unleashing ruin. Likewise, in the 90's anime, Silence Glaive Surprise was used to repel Nehelenia's attack; Saturn unleashed the power of ruin afterwards. Saturn's world destroying power has no name: all she does is lower the Silence Glaive.
She didn't do anything in the 90s anime. At least in Crystal/Eternal was actually got to see her kick Pharoah's ass and is instrumental in single handedly fending off and reforming the Amazoness Quartet.

I just want to say that I wish Sailor Saturn had a cooler transformation. When I watch the original Sailor Moon, I always hope to see a complete transformation for Sailor Saturn. It’s weird because her intro speech in sailor moon eternal after her transformation doesn’t have the same music as in this one. I like it in this one better.
There is no contest. In terms of accuracy, Eternal wins hands down. The only reason why 90s even has a stake in the race is due to nostalgia. The way the 90s anime did Saturn was criminal, but it was also due to the fact that the manga was behind the production of the anime (don’t quote me on this but this is what i heard) so a lot of things from the anime wasn’t accurate, like Saturn’s attacks or Venus’ love and beauty shock. Venus’ attack is literally just rolling heart vibration. They still didn’t have do Saturn so dirty. They made her super lame.
.....So I guess I'm the only one who was tremendously underwhelmed by her transformation sequence. it was so uninspired as it was the very thing I was looking forward to since learning about the reboot. The reason why they didn't have transformation sequences in StarS because they lost a ton of money in ratings from cutting them out of SuperS, which they were supposed to be in. They literally did the game sequence version....so disappointing. I've seen fan made sequences that were far better than Crystal....tragic.

For all the people complaining how the 90s did the Silence Glaive Surprise wrong, have you guys actually rewatched the scene recently? The Death Reborn Revolution doesn’t exist in the 90s anime and while it is implied to be the attack that Saturn uses to end and renew a world (the act of absorbing energy being the main ‘act’ of the attack and the end being Saturn lowering her glaive to bring destruction - though it’s all but interpretation since none of the attacks in the manga are illustrated, explained or the effects even shown). While in the manga the SGS is yet another boring simple wave energy attack that like always misses and with the effects never shown (great work there Naoko), through the dialogue between her and Nehenelia and later Galaxia, the Glaive Surprise is not the same as the Reborn Revolution but grants Saturn the ability to exclusively destroy her and another being of her choice - during Nehenelia’s instance, Usagi was just outside the castle and both Mamoru and Chibi-Usa were next to her in a weaken state so the fact that she choses to use this technique implies the rest of the party would be safe without suffering the effects of the attack. Honestly kudos to the anime staff to actually come up with a sister attack to the Reborn Revolution rather than being uninspired like 90% of the manga is.
I hate the eternal art style, crystal season 1-2 wins. If I wanted to watch the 90s version I would watch the the original. The new one looked like the beautiful manga characters , and then they changed it back. Booo
