Richie Benault, Clive James, David Attenborough, Russell Harty, Roger Moore, Melvyn Bragg, Robin Day and, of course, Denis Norden. All dead now bar Attenborough and Bragg. Bremner still alive too. He was only 24 when he did this.
Lol I love the irony of advertising suits that will supposedly not date quickly with a suit that was probably dated before it had even had many washes. Patterns like that always age fast. They'd be better off advertising something in one neutral colour
That repetition means the bird probably thinks it's doing what you want. You have to be careful with animals. You can easily teach them the wrong thing when you're trying to teach something else, particularly smart ones like cockatoos. I've actually trained a few myself, and had a couple of incidents where I accidentally encouraged a behaviour I didn't mean to lol
Can you believe ITV actually gave him a show If you had seen it you not use the phrase unbelievably bad because it was worse than bad it was terrible And they had the cheek to replace the talented and funny Benny Hill with this dross......
@@neiloflongbeck5705 Sorry I don't live in the UK, Denis Norden is not the world renowned superstar you may think he is. A shame a 'grown up' has to communicate like a snotty punk ass kid.
If this is only the second worst, the worst must have been truly dire. I managed the first ten minutes by fast-forwarding when that twerp was trying unsuccessfully to be funny, but then gave up. Definitely a thumbs-down.
The clip of the two men trying to find the trees that had been planted in Blanchland is a classic!
Love it!
The tree chap is so earnest and precise (except in finding the trees of course) - and the reporter's reactions - hilarious.
this was when Rory actually did impressions that sounded like the people he was impersonating.
"Who locked the damn door? HELP!"
"The world's most unstoppable all-terrain vehicle"
Hahahaha!
Always loved that General barking "THE ANSWER'S NO."!
Purchase one...as a kid that clip nearly killed me 😂😂😂
'Was that an omen?' 'No, it was a new one!' 🤣
Rory bremner here in Denis nordens seat before Denis norden appeared to take over
Wonderful. So glad you uploaded this. :-)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I remember this when it came out
No-one beats the late Norden. Not this guy, Rhys-Jones or David Walliams.
Completely agree Weena. Totally unfunny, no respect for the original format and all lacked the charm and charisma of Denis Norden.
The host ruined it for me, couldn't bear to watch it all. These shows don't need someone hosting them as it is.
It may not be expected now, but then it would have looked VERY strange without one.
@@fluffyfour No need to have a nut job thinking he's funny, others have hosted without coming off as twats really.
Say what you like about Bremner his Denis Norden was spot on.
Only if you have acne .... ...... .....
Nice
Very odd that they give half of the show over to Rory Bremner.
yep, true, but then mabye he was flavour of the month then, n mabye dennis wasn't well or available for it all.
Denis liked to encourage new comedy talent. Rory was just starting out back then, Denis saw his potential and had him on as a guest.

Early stages my foot
It is like say coronation Street added Bradley walsh as a test run
but a lot of this was repeated for the xmas one in '85.
Give me Rory Bremner any day as long as its not Keith Lemmon.
In what circumstances could Rory Bremner be Keith Lemon?
@@fluxington a poor impression perhaps?
@@jameshoskins2031 Very good! *:)*
Cant watch this with bremner buggering it up cant even recognise any of his impressions
Seriously? I agree they're awful, but surely you can recognise the David attenborough one?
@@DreamBelief everyone does dear David its so easy to do
It is just impossible to guess who Rory Bremner is “impersonating” .
Richie Benault, Clive James, David Attenborough, Russell Harty, Roger Moore, Melvyn Bragg, Robin Day and, of course, Denis Norden. All dead now bar Attenborough and Bragg. Bremner still alive too. He was only 24 when he did this.
Come on. Even I could tell the David Attenborough one. I agree they're painful and awful though
Not for us old farts.
Why do they ALWAYS freeze the clip when it gets interesting?
Terrible replacement for Denis.... no one Is capable of polishing his shoes
Yet itv think they can do this show justice...never...
Always thought Rory was terrible, this is proof. Ever understood his fame!

Anyone any idea what that extraordinary clip is from at 21.32? I suspect that like the ice skating one earlier, it's a fake.

Oh, Bremner was doing an impression was he?
Mostly of Rory Bremner, but yeah.
Doesn't even sound like him
Did I just see Rory Bremner doing Alan Freeman?
Graham Andrew Sharpe That's a sex tape nobody wants to see 😵
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!
The lady at 23:13 looks like Marty Feldman.
Owww, that's a dis' on poor Marty Feldman!

6:40 whats this fruitcake's problem???
that bird is probably still alive while there is a good chance that those two humans are dead - last laugh, laugh best
14:30 Why is the host "impersonating" Denis Norden as if he had advanced Parkinsons??
Geek Chorus He’s not in the least bit funny either.
Bremner was exaggerating Norden's mannerisms for effect. It's part of the humour. Shame we have to explain this to a grown up.
@@neiloflongbeck5705 Sorry I don't live in the UK, Denis Norden is not the world renowned superstar you may think he is. A shame a 'grown up' has to communicate like a snotty punk ass kid.
Possibly the worst lager in the world.
This show really only starts at the 15min mark-- Rory was actually TERRIBLE!
poo
Bremner was as funny as a boil on a cyclists arse.
Rory bremner is dreadful here.
