Hello Professor Wickham, While measuring the profile of a free form surface we take space points, So for a point if the profile shows -0.08 deviation do i consider it against the direction of arrow of the Y or do i consider it -ve against the direction of the arrow of the space point? Part of the profile tolerance.
It would be best for you to take a ASME Y14.5 class if you can. It will save you a lot of trouble in the future.
FYI...This feature is an option.

I think it is. But have used lines as needed.
