quick disclaimer i just found out goo gone is not supposed to touch your skin?!(2&:)28; i’ve been using it with my bare hands for a year and i’ve never had issues but everyone’s body reacts differently so just be careful! and make sure to wash your hands good after you’re done using it :) a good alternative for goo gone is tea tree oil!!
My poor Cerise Hood is just disgusting at this point, the glue seeped through her cape and it's all over her forehead ever since I got her when the doll first came out but never wanted to try and do something about in fear of ruining her, thank you so much for this video.
omg FINALLY someone whos gentle about brushing out their dolls, my curly fragile ass hair has informed my experience with washing out hair so I’m super careful about brushing hair out and I CANNOT brush my hair when dry so I do the same for my dolls as well, only doll I’ve ever dry brushed was my replacement georgia who came with some magical smoothing product in it that kept the hair smooth feeling and even then I only brushed from the ends
Thank you for this. I’ve tried the oxyclean and I believe it works, but the video I watched had many treatments, she had to take their heads off, there was a chance the oxyclean could hurt their face paint…. No thanks. I got a second hand lagoona that was so bad I couldn’t believe it. I tried your method and didn’t even condition her hair and it came out amazing!!
I just love how you’ve done Frankie Stein, Draculaura & Twyla justice with this amazing trick to help with the glue. I’m definitely using it on my ghouls~
I just tried it on 4 of my dolls, mh and eah and can I just say that this 100% works!!! If anyone finds it without a stray top just get a small spray bottle, I did and it worked great. My clawvenus was so incredibly gluey that I didn’t even wanna touch her but came across this video and tried it literally the same day and it’s a plus that my local dollar tree had gogone!!! There is absolutely no glue seepage at all!! It’s all gone I’m so shocked, I never wanted to expand my mh collection since a lot of them have bad glue seepage but with this technique I will definitely be getting a lot more dolls and a lot more gogone😂
I tried the oxiclean method for the first time, and it did wonders for the dolls hair! I always thought Goo gone would melt the doll hair, so I tried a different method. Also, I had no damage to the faces on the dolls after the oxiclean treatment. But I am shocked at how well the oxiclean removed the glue. I did also use dish soap to wash it out and conditioner for later brushing. The draculaura I restored said 2008 Mattel and she survived a soak in boiling water and oxiclean so I think maybe some dolls had errors in the factory and weren't seal properly or somthing
Iv just started restoring monster high dolls after finding Luna mothews and was so stuck on what to do! I absolutely love this account and I’m so surprised you don’t have more followers and views cuz it’s so deserved!! Your tips have helped me more than any other yt channel thx youu 🥰🥰
My first Monster High doll was Draculaura sweet 1600 and I loved her now and then, she is my favorite Draculaura doll.. but- BUT, her hair! OMG it's a disgusting glue mess! Her head is literally a rock, under that bang she is literally yellow and her hair even worse, I tried to fix her hair style because it was getting really bad, but I just couldn't because it was so sticky, now she is ruined I hope this works so I can give her original hair style back!
Hello, can you please tell me what the main ingredient in this product is? I don't live in the US, so I can't get Goo Gone. I'm going to look for an alternative in my country.
Hi I just subscribed to ur channel I am a grandma who collects doll and I was amazed how you cleaned their hair I never knew you can use good off in there hair thank you for doing this video ❤
@@angelashley Oxiclean gets rid of the glue 100%. Sometimes you will have to do multiple treatments since it may not remove it all with the first treatment
Would this be bad to use on a doll with flocking? (Example: Venus) I don’t want to accidentally ruin that doll, but I would love to get that glue off 😭
It’s not very hard to avoid the flocking even when boiling or applying goo gone imo. One thing that helped me was instead of removing the plastic seal, poke a hole in it and u can spray it out like that with more control, if you’re buying the non spray version of course
it is most likely left over conditioner that dried up in the hair, do a dish soap wash and focus it in the roots of the plugs you can do this up to 3 times just make not to strip the conditioner completely
Hi, omg I love monster highs and I am a doll content creator myself! I wish I had Twyla she one of my faves💗 would you like to collaborate on a video sometime?
praiseee what u said, i need to have more patience and be more gently doin dolls hairs and washin dolls. ive goo gone and i wanna try gettin rid of my eah and mh glue seepage using it and also boil wash it better and try to straight and comb it etc and take my time with it so it looks perfect. i usually just wash dolls with dish soap and shampoo conditioner on hair and boil using tap water bc im too lazy and impatience for water to boil ngl. specially bc when i wash dolls i usually do more than 1, like illve ive a batch and when im washin em in the sink i start to get back pain and then when its done and i go to my room and brush their hair and dress em by the time im done its super later and im just so tired and just wanna get it done (my back hurts too when im hunched down doin their hair and doin so many dolls in a row..plus it frustrates me how they keep fallin and i cant keep em in place when doin their hair etc which makes me take longer to be done with it) thats usually why i try to rush it plus i just have sooo many dolls and no space so dont really have a spot to put em drying for hours and that type of thing specially if i dont wanna get their hair messy after it bein done. so when i start washing em etc i try to do all of it in one night so i can just display em. but i gotta try to take my time with it and if i need to rest to leave it for next day or so
no i realized that too and i was waiting for someone to comment about it😭 i get distracted easily so i forget about the water when i’m cleaning my dolls most of the time
glue inside the head to hold in the doll’s hair plugs. factories went crazy with the glue so it starts to leak out into the hair over time especially in warm temperatures. i believe it started in 2010 and it stopped right before the first MH reboot. any mattel dolls made throughout that era most likely has it

i’ve used this for three dolls now that were NASTY… skelita particularity was horrible, but this method made her like new 😭♥️♥️ thank you

DRACULANKA IM SCREAMING
Thanks so much! Beautiful job, I'm ready to do my Ghouls Night Out Rochelle Goyle. 👍
when you first said their names, it was giving 'did I give Arianie, did i give Arianka or nooo'
I recommend washing the goo gone off with dish soap to remove the greasiness from it
"Frankie steen, dracyulonga and tweela"
my poor gorl draculonka smh
My monster high dolls I remember, never really had any wonky eyes or glue seepage. It was weird.
This video has me now searching for this particular gloom beach Draculaura face.
Personally I prefer oxiclean. It only removes the paint from the ones in 2010 if you get their faces in it since those ones weren't sealed
Would this be bad to use on a doll with flocking? (Example: Venus) I don’t want to accidentally ruin that doll, but I would love to get that glue off 😭
Yes! It would for sure ruin the flocking. Maybe try look up some info on how to clean Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters?

How do u clean the ones with a prem
I wish I found this sooner. I broke a dolls head trying to get her head off so I can get the glue out…
i'm super scared to clean up my first wave frankie i just got.... like her face is going to melt off
i couldn’t find the spray stuff but i bought the liquid stuff, would it still work?
update: it works!!!
@@rae5976 omg awesome I just bought it yesterday and I’m gonna try it too!
please teach me how u do ur bratz dolls hair pleaseee
I wanted to try it cause my Wave 1 Draculaura's forehead is do sticky and yellowing but IT'S SO EXPENSIVE IN MY COUNTRY 😭
ugh noo i didn’t use conditioner on a tangled dawn of the dance drac and she has so many pink little fly away hairs
Maybe try picking them out with tweezers
What if they came right out of the box? Will their face come off after the whole cleaning process?
apparently only the ones from 2010s faces wipe off, personally i haven’t had issues with this method for my dolls after 2010
Am I doing something wrong because my dolls still feel oily 😢
it is most likely left over conditioner that dried up in the hair, do a dish soap wash and focus it in the roots of the plugs

so creeparific beastie😩 i need u to fix my ghouls
OMW
So, can goo gone REMOVE faces at all tho?
i doubt it, i’ve never had it happen to me or my friends who have recently done it. i think it’s still important to be cautious tho
I know this sounds is an old comment, but it can peel first wave dolls faves off
So can we just use goo gone and a conditioner for it to work
Would just shampoo and conditioner also work? I don’t have goo gone.
no it wouldn’t work, but you can also use tea tree oil
@@JoseMorales-zh1fu what about just Dawn dish soap? What that also be an alternative to goo gone?
