Just bought this game 2 days ago bc of this series. To sub in waddell for run plays, sub Ryan at a reciever spot, sub waddell for Ryan, then sub receiver back in for Ryan. I believe that works. I used it to run designed runs for josh johnson whose my 3rd string QB.
I'm not proud of this, but I went out and bought a PS3 and Head Coach 09 after watching these videos. My favorite game of all time, and these videos have me hooked all over again.
I play this all the time. Always train your top rookies first. Sprinkle in a few plays. Don't worry so much about the goals, winning overcomes everything.
You should start using the run to set up some play action passing. Not just random plays. Once you have the defense guessing, you should be able to open the playbook up even more.
Although these graphics look like they belong on mobile, i love how deep and complex this game is. Something thats missing in current madden games. Its true NFL simulation at its peak. It truly shows how far EA has trailed off from what they used to be, its a shame
Levels play reminds me of a play I made, shotgun 5 wide, pre-snap move another receiver on the right side so you have one on the left and four on the right, the four on the right do in, and crossing routes of different distances while the guy on the left, my fastest receiver does a streak route. Called it "Far Right" it isn't great but it isn't horrible. Also did a similar play with 3 receivers all stacked on the right side and called it "Alright."
It seems pretty cheesy but what you have to do to get your player knowledge up is to first game plan individual plays and make sure you keep track which ones you've practiced and learned. Then in the pre season keep running the same unlearned plays over and over until they show up as learned, then move into a next unlearned play. Rinse, repeat.
I brought the gm for 5 dollars at gm stop I had the gm originally but couldn’t find it. It’s pretty fun but I’m getting some freeze issues. I had the original nfl hc on pc n it would freeze too
Can this just be franchise mode in madden (substitute with Madden Gameplay for the games, and leave the rest like this)...C'Mon EA you have the basis already here, you could give franchise players so much more than the same crap you give them each year
They are not appealing to people like us that actually understand football and demand better things. They don't want deep engagement. They simply appeal to the casuals that love arcade style football with silly gimmicks that will spend oodles of money on stupid, fake cards for fake players.
In training camp pre season, it is best to focus on rookies, or a young first year guy like Ryan. It increases knowledge for 5 plays for every player on that side of the ball. Then when you play your preseason games, you keep running unlearned plays until they get learned. Pre season wins and losses mean nothing. Plus, there is a cheese way of making sure you always pass the "get player X's playbook knowledge to X%" goals. It is a spoiler so I won't reveal it unless people ask.
He's great when you can keep him healthy, but for that, you need a great trainer. But yeah, older guy who doesn't come with a bit hit if you trade him.
Just imagine if we were still getting Madden's this deep
