    Sir isn't capacitor used to smoothen or filter the ac current (when it is used as a filter). But how is used to block dc component here?

      Also isn't there a bypass capacitor at the collector?

      Its capacitors property, that it block DC and passes AC.
      Capacitor is connected in parallel to load resistor to act it as filter.
      Here also Ce connected parallel to Re bypasses AC from Emitter to ground.

      practically there is some DC component in input.
      There is 2 coupling capacitor which blocks DC .
      There is one bypass capacitor, bypass capacitor provides low reactance to signal to avoid feedback.

      For S2, probably no. But frequency response of CE configuration amplifier has been asked before.
