Unless you paid $30 for it, you overpaid. You can buy the same plant from Louisiana Orchid Connection for $45 and his are over a year old out of flask. Peter Lin is selling the same cross that are three year old plants for the same price Kathleen is charging for a two month old plant.
Hi @michaelmccarthy4077, thanks for commenting and giving us some great information. We love to purchase orchids from different vendors and even personal sales and in this manner we help others and our community. Large suppliers do sell more economically due to their leverage of purchasing in high quantities. Now, when we buy from a local vendor that has a small business, their leverage in buying a certain quantity changes. We will also look into the vendors you mentioned to see what they offer. We really Luv what we acquired and have no issues at all with it. Be safe.
@@weluvorchids7928 if you’re ok with price gouging, who am I to argue? I just look at the math. She paid $116 for a flask of 25 plus plants, or roughly $5 per plant. 2 x $5 plus a $5 piece of cork is $15. That would be $45 if the plants were more established, not two months old where they are still extremely delicate. Best of luck.
Cool orchid and From the Dominican Republic and Florida, nice!
Thanks for watching Alex! IVP
