    Excellent. Had a 'smith' change out a glock sight set for me several years ago and never tried again...charged me another $70 at the time. THat's why I never bothered again with other handguns. Think I'll give these a try with other handguns I got and nearly have it paid off in 2 installs.. Thanks, 3KOG and Mark Santos Shooting.

    Have had mine for many years. Works great for everything. Smith and wesson, Glocks, Springfield. Great tool 👍🏻

    Great timing! I'm about to get one of these to mount a set of TruGlo's to my new Kimber 1911.

    Thank you for posting this. I just used your guidance to realign my front sight. Took me less than 5 min. Now its dead nutz straight. Keep up the good work 🍺

    Thanks for the detailed instructional. Love everything about it except pushing on the top of the front sight blade instead of the base. That is usually not a good idea but I'm no expert or an engineer and why I'm here trying to decide on a sight pusher haha! I know Wheeler is USA made which is a plus as well. Thanks again!

    This is a very sturdy tool. I used it to push the rear sight on my SIG P250 & it didn't break. That sight felt like it was welded in place. I bent a punch using a 10 pound sledgehammer & the sight didn't move. That's when I bought this tool. I've used it on other guns since then. If a SIG P250 won't break this tool nothing will.

    Be sure to tape the sides of the slide where it locks into pusher. Mared the heck out of my slide, but big deal because guns are tools.

    Hey thanks for the insight; will this sight pusher help remove stuck steel rear sight ?

    • @3KindsOfGuns
      @3KindsOfGuns  2 года назад +1

      Probably, recommend you use some penetrating oil on it as well.

    The wheeler pusher that I received had a few loose screws. I went against the grain and cleaned off all the original lube from the screws and parts. Then I purchased a tube of MD #3 EP lube and put it on the parts and threads that move to push the sight. Got a tough site? No problem. Set it up and tighten against the sight. Use a brass drift and hammer to give a tap to the anvil that is pushing against the sight. It will break loose easily. Want some help with the 4 spoke wheel? Use a Klein tools #32476 handle or any screw driver handle that uses a 5/16" bit. It makes spinning the spokes painless.

      YT is silly about showing gunsmithing tools in use and can hand out strikes against channels, demonize etc.

    • @3KindsOfGuns
      @3KindsOfGuns  2 года назад

      Yup, have to be careful about what I actually show on camera. Not trying to get my channel deleted.

    My Shadow 2 orange slide twisted in the tool when the holding pucks were hand tightened as tight as I could make them. I ended up by using a channel lock on all six adjustment nuts. The sight needed what I consider a large amount of pressure to move, which it finally did do with a resounding snap. Once that happened it pushed the rest of the way off with way les pressure. I kinda wonder what CZ uses for the sight glue. I used black electrical tape to prevent boogering up the sides of the slide. I would recommend this pusher to an friend. The process is just not as easy to do as the video suggests.

      I did several Smith and Wesson 2.0s, and it was as easy as I said in the video.
      That's crazy about your shadow 2, now I have to look it up and see if I can find out what type of glue/rockset they use on their sights.

    I have one of these. It pays for itself with about 3 sight changes. I got to say the XDs are a bear to change. You got to freeze them first. On one of my XDMs I litterally had to cut the front off with a dremel tool!

    I just bought one of these
    And for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the hight adjustment setting to actually work. The pad just spins. It doesn't feel like there is any threading for the knob to catch in order to adjust the height.
    Which means the pusher sits way lower than my slide and will drag it, if I attempt to remove the sight.
    Am I missing something with it?

    • @3KindsOfGuns
      @3KindsOfGuns  5 месяцев назад

      Honestly bro I borrowed that one for the video, so I don't have it in front of me to look at. I would call customer service and ask them.

    Looked like a good simple to use tool at first. I don’t like the part where it pushes high on the sight instead of at the base of the sight where it should be. I’d be worried it would snap the sight post off especially the front sights.

      Only snapped off the front sight of an XD9, removing a factory installed sight. A drop of good machine oil helps in removal and installation.

      They have these on Flea Bay. It's a copy, a very good copy too.
      I bought the copy and compared it to the wheeler one. The bolts fit each other. It's as if they rubbed off the wheel sticker and shipped it out. Get bit of kit. Well worth the money. What ever one you guy.
