I never thought I'd see you post a Poison build for PvP, Honestly I thought I was the only person running poison in hizzngr3 it's nice to see someone else give it a go. Good go at it Moose.
+Watta Mugen I hate when people do that. There are only four times I will heal in PvP. First is if they heal first, then fuck them. Second would be they attack while I am bowing to them, because well...fuck them again. Third will be if they do not bow back. They have five seconds to bow or emote back. If not well...again fuck them. Fourth. Gank Squad. As you can see by now there is a running trend. Because well...fuck them both or all three. I hate people who just heal whenever they PvP. Draws out the fight way too long.
+Jacob Toews agree with all but #3, sometimes people just wanna get straight to it (like myself sometimes) but I'll at least wait for them to finish their gesture before I start swinging... and if they stand there waiting for me to do a gesture back, I just swing just out of reach so they get the message

I think the Logarius' Wheel is a prime candidate for when you're making your rapid poison video. Its transformed mode has a few attacks with multiple hits built-in, so the flat rapid poison build-up happens fast. I also recommend using it with an arcane build since you'll be getting more out of the Wheel's natural scaling in tricked form and you can use hunter tools to keep the pressure up if you suspect they're looking for a chance to heal or antidote.
This build has a lot of potential, even to be viable for serious PvP. Work on maxing out those slow poison blood gems. In my opinion, a normal maxed out %27 weapon would be better in your second slot for antidote punishment, because very rarely will you ever have your health regen weapon out for long. I agree with Kniroid, a cannon would be excellent as well for this build.
I understand the struggle moosetorrent, i love poison builds buy i always end up having ppl heal on me, its like it they arent used to poison in pvp they think they can pop an antidote or green blossom in ds. Honestly, if you cant avoid being poisned you should have to deal with the health loss
Thanks for the great vid's Moose. You do a phenomenal job, really enjoy every one of them. This one is frustrating though, all these antidote/healers are just silly. It's one of the reasons I don't PVP much! That and I suck at it too.........so I have my PVP fun watching you stomp fools.

I used the purple moss clump and antidote for a while until i did a poison build myself. It is so hard to actually proc it and it does so little damage, if someone gets me with poison they deserve to keep the poison going the whole round. So i took them off. Poison needs a buff...
The way I see it is like this. Slow Poison is more strategic. A means to tempt players into healing, or using antidotes. This allows you to set up a nice counterattack. Like BMA Cannon, parries, and Hunter Tools. Slow Poison is great on weapons that phantom hit often, like the Threaded Cane. Fast Poison is a more "offensive" approach as it bleeds a target out. Fast Poison can be avoided by rolling right when it procs. So it is best to slap a bunch of Dirty Bloodgems on a pair of fast swiping weapons like the Beast Claws, Blades of Mercy, or Reiter. As these weapons tend to lock the enemy in place when it procs. Also, rolling towards an opponent builds up the poison. I learned that a while ago and made a video about it. They patched what I called the Murky/Dirty Dash where you build poison by dashing into an enemy; However, the Murky/Dirty Roll in which you roll into an enemy still works fine. Old Hunter Bone speeds up the dashes/rolls, which will allow you to poison most players when rolling into them.
My ethic with poison is not to use antidote. I know it's a useable item, but to me it's still healing. It's part of a player's build, a build that is barely viable as it is, so it's hardly fair to just offset it. It's your own fault if you get poisioned in the first place anyway.
Somehow I never thought about it that way with the antidotes. I can also safely say I've never encountered Slow Poison in PVP. I'll take this habit with me going forward in my future PvP adventures through the various From games. Too bad I'm more likely to be the one using poison and I doubt many will be this reasonable to me. Alas..!
ive heard that logarius wheel is the best weapon for poisoning, you should try that out if youre interested on furthering the poison thing. i can see how it would since the wheel hits multiple times on the spins. whirligig L2 would probably be instapoison
Well it's not really a fight if the other person can kill you by poisoning you and just waiting for you to die on low health or do extra damage while your gradually dieing is it? The use of the antidote is understandable.

Yeah a lot of people have antidotes because of certain bosses poisoning you pretty badly kind of test players ability to prepare for an encounter in early game players to carry a lot of cheap items on them at all times that being said that antidote punish was nice for that extra 120 damage so with the right strategy it still does the same damage but you can do the same thing with a heal punish for unhonorable ppl. I was thinking of trying a build with rapid poison which is the bleed effect in bloodborne and maybe Blades of Mercy or rikuyo or something
Moose do you make a new build for every PVP video you do? Or do you use several and just switch weapons for some videos? Either way these videos must be a TON of work and you do a great job, love watching!
If you're looking for another theme build, you should run Logarius Wheel, Cannon, and Madras Whistle, for a Pirate build. Look for setups for your slow Wheel and Cannon attacks off of the knockup from your Kraken!
Honestly I'm used to popping items from my menu so maybe they're just quickly going into inventory and using an antidote. Accidentally not equipping those during the BS beast trained me for that xD

poison build is a great example of why chalice dungeons are just so extremely shitty, why make something so vital to the game (blood gems) SO difficult to get a hold of? I mean honestly, it discourages you to explore the dungeons in the first place, not to mention it discourages you to explore all of the weapons and make new builds. this is by far my favorite from game but...i hope they make a sequel, and i hope they either get rid of the damn gems or they make them easy to get. they did a lot right but also did a lot of things that just dont make sense. good video btw love all your vids

It actually encourages exploration, the problem is exploring Chalice Dungeons is boring as fuck to begin with, so you don't _want_ to explore. Excellent items should be difficult to get, that's the most basic concept behind a reward, so it feels good when you get it because you know not every Dick and Harry have them too just by casually playing the main game. Where Bloodborne fails, is in making the Chalice Dungeons interesting. They just aren't fun to do, they're monotonous and inelegant. In short, they're a chore. Games should never be a chore, at least not a Fromsoft game.

Bloodborne had replay value, but it wasn't from the Chalice dungeons, it came from the game simply being a good one that players would want to go through a second time or more. Same principle as Demons and the first Dark Souls, they were just _good_ games that were intelligently crafted, and people just wanted to go back in and relive the experience. PvP is also a crucial element to these games longevity, which sadly Bloodborne lacks in as well. If Dark Souls 3 can simply be as good as the first two Souls games in these respects, it will be a success.

I did end up beating the Pthumeru Ihyll and the Pthumerian Queen, but man it really was a horrendous chore. One positive though is using the dungeon glyphs to quickly farm great bloodgems, but I will never grind through all those dungeons again
I don't usually run around in PvP with antidotes since poison wasn't really a big deal but now I should really just carry them all the time X) Also I'm a skill/arcane build so those quickslots are usually full of arcane stuff.

I'm surprised you didn't use the Kos Parasite. Since it has that poisoning vomit attack that can actually inflict a lot of poison if you use poison gems.
+Moose Torrent I guess not, but at that time I probably just popped one since antidotes are very convenient... which is why with a build like this, being very aggressive is a necessity and maybe even a larger stamina bar as well in order to stay on your opponents so they don't use one, cause at about 6:50 I was able to back away and use one
They may be harder to farm, but I'd say rapid poison gems would be a much better option. You lose a chunk of HP instantly (like bleeding in DS) so it's not as fun trying to make them panic (though I suppose losing a large chunk of HP all at once would be unnerving as well). The Chikage would be optimized for this because it innately deals rapid poison in transformed mode. Throw some gems in it and it could be pretty effective.
the biggest problem with poison builds is that because the menus are alphabetical antidote is right up at the top, you don't even need them in the quick menu

There should be a law in Pvp : If your opponent use an antidote to heal his poison, you should be allowed to use 1 heal. That would seem much more faire, because the antidotes are pretty much killing the poison builds right now
5:15 - 5:18 MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!!! Who the fuck carries antidote on the quickbar?! I have them stacked but in the inventory, and using them makes me stand in a place for 5 seconds!
+keyblader007 The first one is one of the first gems you get. The +2 is from giving the hairclip from the hunters workshop to the doll, and the +4 is from the DLC.
keyblader007 You can farm the +5 for the gun at pwmf22gu. Keep killing the tall witch guy leading the minions around. There's no good location for farming that I know of other than that.

keyblader007 For the codes you just type them in the glyph option when you click on a tombstone. You'll need to make a rotted fetid cursed pthumeru ihyll root chalice first. The best way to do it is: skip Hintertomb entirely, start doing only the main dungeons, you can skip all the root dungeons and have enough materials to continue if you go into all the side areas and get the ritual items, and once you get to the end make a root dungeon with all the extra parts for Great Pthumeru Ihyl. After you make this super root chalice you can search everything, and since Lower Loran, Isz, and the afore mentioned Great Pthumeru Ihyll are the only dungeons that drop anything worthwhile it will save alot of time!

If you go poison it's trying to force them to use an item so you can parry them. Now max poison is a decent way to go though.

Sometimes I don't mind it when people heal, it draws out the match and makes it real tense
if its a close match it can be fun just when your keep hitting a guy and he keeps healing until he gets lucky.

the biggest problem with poison builds is that because the menus are alphabetical antidote is right up at the top, you don't even need them in the quick menu

Know I'm late to the party but weird how people can get behind the no heal rule but isn't using an antidote a form of healing lmao. What happened to the whole honor in duels and all that?
Why can't people just accept they got outsmarted and poisoned? It's infuriating just to watch
There should be a law in Pvp : If your opponent use an antidote to heal his poison, you should be allowed to use 1 heal. That would seem much more faire, because the antidotes are pretty much killing the poison builds right now

Where did you get the HP recover gems? I have no item where to farm them.
+keyblader007 The first one is one of the first gems you get. The +2 is from giving the hairclip from the hunters workshop to the doll, and the +4 is from the DLC.

keyblader007 You can farm the +5 for the gun at pwmf22gu. Keep killing the tall witch guy leading the minions around. There's no good location for farming that I know of other than that.

keyblader007 For the codes you just type them in the glyph option when you click on a tombstone. You'll need to make a rotted fetid cursed pthumeru ihyll root chalice first.
The best way to do it is: skip Hintertomb entirely, start doing only the main dungeons, you can skip all the root dungeons and have enough materials to continue if you go into all the side areas and get the ritual items, and once you get to the end make a root dungeon with all the extra parts for Great Pthumeru Ihyl. After you make this super root chalice you can search everything, and since Lower Loran, Isz, and the afore mentioned Great Pthumeru Ihyll are the only dungeons that drop anything worthwhile it will save alot of time!

Where DO you get those poison and health regeneration gems anyway? I really want to use this since it's not only fun, but NO ONE ever uses this (as far as I know).

No the 13 poison gems are from a regular dog enemy that does poison damage hah. The hp runes are from a tall witch guy leading a group of dreglings.
