Hi there 👋 Idlis look delicious. So many different ways to use many parts of the jackfruit tree, how wonderful ❤️ Thanks for watching our video and for commenting 🥰
Good morning & thank you 😊 Turon Recipe: • square lumpia wrappers, or spring roll wrappers • Ripe bananas, split lengthwise into 4 pieces • sliced jackfruit pieces • brown sugar • water, for sealing wrappers • vegetable oil, for frying 1. Place square wrapper on work surface with one point of the square facing you. Coat banana with brown sugar and place horizontal on lower 1/3 of lumpia wrapper. Add jackfruit 2. Fold the tip of the square wrapper up to cover the banana and jackfruit. Fold the tip of the right side and left side in to create an envelope. 3. Use both hands to roll the wrapper into a log. Moisten the top tip of the wrapper with water and continue to roll the wrapper up to seal. Repeat with remaining ingredients then fry in oil until golden. (We don't bother with the caramel coating found in some recipes, as we find the rolls are sweet enough 😋. We also substitute saba bananas with our own Dwarf Ducasse Banana from the farm.) Here is the link to the video we did previously (Turon roll demo is around the 5 minute mark) ruclips.net/video/WvomDbmVTfg/видео.html Enjoy! 😋
We aim for a average of PH 6, due to the heavy rainfall we do a test at the beginning of the wet, and will apply dolomite to lift it a little above 6 if needed knowing it will lower as the rain sets in. At the end of the wet, if it's close to 6, then we only apply gypsum.
They sure are! 😊 Due to the high variability you get with seedlings, we wanted to only plant grafted trees of the chosen variety, as we mainly send ripe fruit to market.
@@meadowcroftfarmqld8577 Wow! Does the plant give many fruits? I am from the Philippines and we also have around 200 jackfruit plants at 6m planting distance and was told that it should be 8m apart.
Only problem with Jackfruit is that its so big of a fruit. I have about 4 trees and i cant eat all the fruits. Im too lazy to sell though 😂 so my neighbors get the extra fruits
They are a fruit made for sharing aren't they! 😁 Have you tried freezing some fruit? We will freeze some of ours so we can enjoy outside of season and it freezes pretty well.
I think your jack fruit tree is a frankeinstein jack fruit, the real (wild) jack fruit tree is much bigger & taller than what you are showing... but anyway thanks for showing us!
We do have Jackfruit trees growing naturally in our boundaries for windbreak purposes. However, the trees you see in the video here are in our commercial orchard, and we have purposefully pruned and shaped them that way for easy management, cyclone resilience and high density planting. We show our methods in the following videos if you are interested 😊 ruclips.net/video/bd217CEGDRc/видео.html ruclips.net/video/PwQvaqEMU7Q/видео.html
Hi, we are in Far North Queensland, Australia Our trees are an orange crispy variety we selected from our seedling trials, the selection criteria being, colour, taste, and low latex.
Yup , 1000 + subscribers and organic, Hardwork pays 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much! 🥰
Hi Angela and Ian, I am from south India, coastal Andhra Pradesh state, we use jackfruit leaves to make idlis.

Good morning. It was a delightful story of reciprocating friendship gestures. Can you direct me to that recipe for those rolls?

Hi i love your videos, i just have a question if you dont mind i am from Sydney and i would love to know the ideal soil ph thanks

Hi Ian and Angela what model ph meter are you using there and how accurate do you find it compared to lab tested ph ?
PH meter is from Hanna instruments. It seems to be fairly accurate compared to lab and is far better than the powder test for accuracy
@@meadowcroftfarmqld8577 thanks will have to look that one up
Are all your jackfruit grafted?
They sure are! 😊 Due to the high variability you get with seedlings, we wanted to only plant grafted trees of the chosen variety, as we mainly send ripe fruit to market.
@@meadowcroftfarmqld8577 cool thank you.
May I know the planting distance of your jackfruit?
Ours are 4.5 meters apart, and we keep our trees to no more than 4 metres high due to the fact we live in a cyclone area.

Wow! Does the plant give many fruits? I am from the Philippines and we also have around 200 jackfruit plants at 6m planting distance and was told that it should be 8m apart.
We get on average 8 fruit per tree, we have to keep them short due to cyclones so planting 8 metres apart would be a waste for us.
Only problem with Jackfruit is that its so big of a fruit. I have about 4 trees and i cant eat all the fruits. Im too lazy to sell though 😂 so my neighbors get the extra fruits
