Hey there...my name is Mr. Don and I work for a before and after care program for the YMCA here in PA. We have been discussing baby chicks here and we watched your video. My friend Isabelle (first grade) said, "That was an awesome chick video!" She has been spending time with baby chicks with her grandparents and she has been teaching me about it. For instance, she knew your hen and the babies were bantams by the feathers on their feet. Thanks for the fun video! It is both educational and fun! Regards!
Hi Andrew your going to be the chicken Master pretty soon. They sure come with some pretty colours. Love the chicken house and run you built. It’s the castle of chicken shelters. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
That was FUN! It takes more than 24 - 48 hours to lay a clutch of eggs, so of course it takes longer than 48 hours for all of them to hatch. I wonder if it would be a good idea to move the nursery coop over to the side of the big coop to make the transitions easier. That rooster crows more than any rooster I've ever heard! LOL
He only crows when I'm talking 😡. I plan to build a nursery inside if the main Coop for transition. The eggs she hatched were collected over "days" from 3 different hens. She's raising them all as her own.
Hi from Alabama. I am a new subscriber. I love the video of the chicken house build. What kind of chicken is the new mama hen and the babies are so beautiful and adorable.
Congrats grandpapa! Is so fun to watch momma teach her babies to eat and them to come running when she found something for them. I think she stayed so long on the nest was because you had food/water right there for her babies to eat so she was free to continue incubating. The newly hatched chicks must start eating after 48hours from hatching so that's why they leave the nest. The coop offered food and shelter so she was free to keep the babies warm under her and eat. She's a really good hen. The 2nd egg she pushed off the nest, did you mark it before putting back under her? Just curious if that was the egg that didn't hatch. Now you get to contemplate who was the mother of the chicks😁
No I didn't mark it and I have been wondering that myself. It was cold the day I found it, it had been out a while apparently. Bummer, but those things happen.
I really miss the days of new hatchlings. It's exciting every time you get a new baby and it never gets old.
They are so fun to watch
Wow! babies and 90,000 subscribers. Congratulations on the progress of your channel.

Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. 😀
Awesome. I’ve always found it amazing that nature can be so unforgiving at times, but more so very giving!
Totally understand that!

Awesome to hear! Thank you both for watching.
Hens are smart. They really don't need our help when caring for their babies.
That mama hand is great. You saved your life and she repaid you with giving you more , it's God's grace 🙏
That's so very true! Awesome!
I need to proofread these before I send them off, my talk to text sometimes makes me misspel everything. See?

Great hen! Thanks for sharing.

THENK YOU!

Hello
Are going to continue hatch eggs all summer? I'd to know how your flak grow this summer.
No this should be more than enough after culling roosters to give us what we need for laying hens.
This was enjoyable
Thank you for watching
excellent video
Thank you for watching

They are fun to watch!
10:26 no, that’s behind development for 20 days. Looks like the chick stopped developing around day 16-17.

Expectant father going crazy just imagine if you had 4 or 5 with a good clutch of eggs all at the same time lol
No way! I'd be making a lot more breakfast
Chicks!!!!
Just another chick flick 🐥😉
Yay! 🐣 🐓 👍💞
Yes!
That's awesome andrew...did the other egg hatch? Don't know if you have had time yet to see....she is really tame mine will eat ya up over her babies
It's still in the incubator, I'm tossing it tomorrow. Doesn't appear to be alive.
How do you keep snakes out? I am having a grey rat snake issue.
1/2 inch wire mesh. That keeps almost everything out except baby snakes. I've never had a problem with them.
Which one did you name Andrew Jr?
I'll leave the name in the Tiffany LOL
What happens if you give one of the chicks away. Will she get over it?
Yes I am sure she will
So yeah / I was a pool boy / DE powder is horrible in the lungs / spent a week n a half in ICU because of small particulate pneumonia
Good to know, I always try to avoid the direction it's blowing.
you should not remove the eggshell the hen will eat them to replenish her calcium.
You act like a first time daddy... 🙂
I am..... Kind of 😬
