Listening to some of Dr Chris' advice there about when to start taking the anti-hystemene tablets.
I had a doctor at a previous surgery when I lived out in my parents village, and she also suffered from Hay fever and she said that she started taking her tablets round about February (one tablet every morning) and the idea behind this was to give the chemicals a chance to build up in your bloodstream so there's a chance of having a better effect when you need it.
She would generally stop taking the tablet in the morning, around the end of August beginning of September time.

I have had Hay fever for many years now.
I take anti-hystimenes prescribed by my doctor from February until about the end of August or early September.
A doctor who i saw at a previous practice tols me that she was also a Hay Fever Sufferer and that she started taking her pilla in the February in order that it had time to build up a resistance to the pollen in your bloodstream.
August 31st ia obviously the last official day of Summer every year so hopefully by then you have saw the worst of it for that year and it's generally a safe time to stop taking the pill for that year.
