  • In this video, we’ll explore happiness data and uncover seven compelling reasons why scatter plots are indispensable for data analysis. You’ll learn about (1) whether money can actually make you happy, (2) how wealth has changed in the USA, Germany, India, and Venezuela over the past 20 years, (3) whether happy people live longer, and much more. The results might surprise you 😉

    For Worlds Happiness Data in general go to: worldhappiness.report/data/
    For the table I used in the video click on Data "for Table 2.1" in the most recent year. For the detailed description of the data click on "Statistical Appendix 1 for Chapter 2".
    Enjoy! 🥳

    Your ability to explain various topics in your videos is clearly impressive. I think you would be a great teacher if you ever decide to pursue that path!

      Wow, thank you! I do actually teach some PhDs R programming, but those are a few people. And it's also fun for me to teach. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks you for watching!

      Glad you liked it! I am still not sure whether these tutorials have too much of a story and dilute the programming part, or does story telling part make the programming part more enjoyable? But I guess this format is ok. Thank you for watching!

      Thanks for the Feedback! If you are interested in the deep exploratory analysis, you may check out my older video on EDA. It’s a bit longer, but I think it will provide value for you. Cheers and thanks for watching.

    Best Rstats content on youtube BY FAR!! I love your videos!
    Will you one day perhaps do a video on nonlinear modeling?

      Thank you very much for such a generous feedback! 🙏 I am glad my content is useful! Yes, I am definitely going into modelling in general and non-linear modelling will be included. I would first cover some more visualizations before it though. So, stay tuned. Thanks for watching!

    Please do the pwrss package in R next!! It has a website with examples, but it sucks 😂

    • @yuzaR-Data-Science
      @yuzaR-Data-Science  8 месяцев назад

      wow, that's actually a great package! Thanks for pointing it out! I will definitely make videos on the best power calculations in R I can find. It'll take some time, but I'll get there. Until then, if you want, you can have a look at my 3 older posts, where I just started to explore the power calculation topics, but please, don't expect to much of those posts. Here is the first one: yury-zablotski.netlify.app/post/power-analysis-vol-1/

    Indian case is maybe due to their poverty and high purchasing power parity. Their GDP PPP is ranking 3th in the world. That's why the longer their live, the more hours they need to work (and their work environment doesn't help either. Like how they payed less comparing with the amount of their worked)
    It's just my hypothesis tho 🤷‍♀️
