I was at 3/4 track at orange county international raceway during that run and Reid Whisnant flat outran him no question about it and that is why there was no re-run I also watched N.H.R.A. do a complete tear down and car inspection after the run if there was anything funny "hanging down" it would have been picked up from them and also the pictures from the race would have shown if anything was hanging down he also backed it up the next weekend at Gainsville.
The run against Whisnant was definitely bogus but as much as I would have loved it if Frankie would have won the championship I seriously doubt that Whisnant intentionally cheated. Reason being if NHRA couldn't find anything illegal with his car and he could replicat the performance gain bogus or not why wouldn't he?
