      With the right resources and determination, there's not much that can’t be fixed regarding cars. 🔧 Some vehicles just deserve to live and you do what you can to save them.
      Also, who doesn't lack common sense when it comes to love? I ❤️ F-bodies. Common sense would see us all in bland, powerless vehicles working safe “realistic” jobs and living a long mediocre life. You guys enjoy that if you want. Meanwhile I'll be in New Zealand racing cars & riding motorcycles. 😁🏁

    My dad’s ‘68 Camaro got totaled in a flood. When my parents were talking to the insurance company, my mom asked what the car was valued at. They asked if we were interested in buying it back with the salvaged title. My dad got a check for $19,200 and the car.

  • @lancelarson6710
    @lancelarson6710 Месяц назад +1

    I did the same thing when i was in high school, i had a 98 monte carlo black 3.1L. I bought it for $3800 the previous owner i guess a tree branch landed on it and he had the roof and windows all replaced before i bought it. I was in a funeral persession for my friend funeral and a guy two cars behind me slams into the guy behind me which slams into me and i get pushed into a jeep with a reciever hitch and a spare tire on the back. I did not get to see my friend get buried, he died in Afganistan. I had my car fixed, since it wasnt my fault that doushe bag that hit us had to pay for like four vehicles that day. So my front and rear bumpers and supports were replaced, so was my hood and trunk lid, both fenders and quarter panels. I replaced the two doors myself they were getting a little rusty. A guy rearended me so had the rear bumper and bumper supports replaced aswell as the trunk lit and floor. Then i drove it for a couple years fine. I took my dad to Oklahoma for him to pick up a truck he bought and my wheel bearing was going bad so when we got back i took it to Chevrolet and they insralled a hole bunch of stuff i didnt authorize and i ended up getting it all for free. They replaced the wheel bearing and exhaust manifold, intake manifold gasket, and serpentine belt at the time $700 in parts that i wasnt able to afford. Sold the car to my dad, he gave it to my older sister, she smashed it into the side of a cement bridge on a gravel road, dad had the front of the car fixed. She also put it in the ditch another time. Then my younger sister got the car and she hit the same bridge as my other sister and had to have the front repaired. I bought the car back from my dad and drove it to Omaha, it was a three hour drive wth three of my friends to go see some friends that were going to college there, i ended up going the wrong way down a one way street so i went through an alley and blew all four of my tires, had to have the car towed to North Omaha to a Firestone that insisted that the only tires they had that would fit the car were the most expensive tires they had. Firestone Firehawk Indianapolis 500 edition tires that were a different size than i had on origionally so that resulted in my speedometer being off now forever. It cost my entire pay check at the time to afford it, $850. I tried to sell the car to a Little Person, so i replaced the drivers seat since it wouldnt move forward anymore, then he backed out of the deal, so i ended up driving the car pretty much uneventfully for the next 8 years and put on 265 thousand mile driving it to work and back, occationally out to Ohio to see family, i never had engine issues with it; everyone at the time told me to stay away from the 3100, and to go with the tried and true 3800 but i had no issues. I joke with my friends that the only thig origional on the car was the shell itself.

      Why do women do this? Lie that is? She’s not natural at all. Studders a little, awkward body language ‘a little’ and needs to smooth out some thoughts to speech. Why do you lie like this. There’s more than one thing to improve here. You propagate false confidence and that leads to failure. Nobody ain’t saying you can’t praise and prop up, but nobody’s also saying you can’t offer CONSTRUCTION CRITICISM as well. Why is it sooooo faux pa to criticize women? Tell her these small things to polish out the story. God it’s so limiting, you’re actually not helping, instead you’re telling women they are already at the finish line and not try harder or improve. Maybe that’s your tactic, secret jealousy and envy so you don’t want others to improve and work on their game. 😉😉 Youre just wrong and inauthentic and disingenuous on either side of the coin! NOT SORRY!! You’re sooo fake too. If you think this is perfect and a natural and no room for improvement then you’re a horrible coach and don’t know production. You should really not be talking about something you got no clue on. 🫣🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣 yes straight laughing at you. 😂😹😹

    I don't know if insurance would work this way anymore but my car went to the salvage yard after getting rear-ended by a moving truck, and they just...let me have it. It was driveable and they gave me the check for the totalled car which was way more than I could've bought another identical car for, it was a huge come up, so I then sold the car for $800 to a guy who owned a body shop. I still don't understand why the yard let me have the car for free because it was worth money in scrap or parts. This was the early 2000's.

    5:05 No those two bars are not purely structural, there to keep someone from James Deaning you, it was something they started doing in the mid 80's as the way the firebirds body works is its a unibody, meaning once its crumpled like an egg is its lost all its structural integrity
    and that is also one of the major differences between euro spec and american spec cars in the 80's, by standard those cars had to have that to come over, which is why on average the european cars are about 400 pounds lighter, and have more power
    as they didnt have catalitic converters till the mid to late 80's so they didnt have that loss of power we did in the 70's
    also this happened on a 91 firebird formula that I know of as well, same deal, someone pulled out and caused an accident, the insurance wanted to total it out and he wouldnt let them, as they wanted to write it off for 6 k for a broken front bumper and two fenders
    instead he just fitted an earlier front end to it
    as what you have to remember is its just an old car to them, and they dont know if its rusted or not
