Thank you so much for this video. It is really helpful. Thought, I was sad to hear of the endangered plums. Hope we can turn our world around!!

In case you have not run across it there is also Prunus americana lanata / Prunus lanata, the “Hairy Wild Plum”, that is also very rare.

Super interesting. But the volume of your voice is very low. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊

@@bluegrassdiggers9030how is it picky to give corrective suggestions?!this was indeed very hard to hear. And I had my volume all the way up too. It's a lovely video and we hope to see more but with better volume. How is that picky?

There is a wild plum variety in the Pacolet, SC area that produces a beautiful and very delicious, sweet yellowish orange fruit. I didn’t see it represented in this video.

Also, I didn’t have any problems hearing the audio throughout this video; the volume and audio quality was fine.

Awesome! I was gifted an unknown variety of wild plum seedling. It is growing very well here in Lubbock, Texas. Maybe now I will be able to identify it. Thanks for the video 👍

Wow u r a genius i didnt know thr was that many varieties, i like picking wild plums of trails in MN so i ordered one from a nursery i think its the Canadian variety b cause the bark is dark red clean. Unfortunately the rabbits ate half of the tops but it came back so i hope it fruit next yr or thr after. Thnks alot for this video it is the best video on wild plums so far i have found.

I live in northern WI and there is abandoned farm that has trees that make very tasty 1"-2" yellow plums but they don't show every summer. Any ideas, trees stand could be 60 years old + don't know, it has been abandoned for 20 yrs at least.

If they are near a farm I would wager they were planted domestic plums, do they have thorns on the stems and trunk?

Stopped @ 2:28, such piss-poor audio, could not hear it. Yes, I'm hard of hearing. Yeah, the adds were plenty loud enough too hear.

Sorry to hear that, I don't control the ads nor do I get any revenue from them. I made this video years ago and am not going to remake it just for the audio. I would change it if I could
