Lol i spent way too much time thinking about this, and I'm 99.9% certain you meant 'let us peep INTO the window of a cool niche', but if the sentence is left as-is what cool niche are we peeking into this one from? Like are we fantastical merkin makers? Do we handcraft body piercing jewelry out of re-purposed materials? Are we bird watchers but only of pileated woodpeckers? The possibilities are endless and fascinating and now I want to find channels that do each one of those things lol (Also i 100% agree as a fellow non-fishing individual lol I love watching this dude)

I don't know the first thing about fishing, let alone fly fishing. Somehow, these videos started popping up on my feed and they are so cool. Totally satisfying to watch and pretty interesting learning the history of different flies. (Flys?) Also like how it seems like every video shows a different tool to put the hook in the clip. I have yet to see a repeated tool. Keep up the cool shorts!
Has anyone done a study? I can see why people might say, if it looks like the food they’re more likely to bite but I can’t imagine fish can see very well. Of course they do need to not eat poison so they can probably see better and quicker than I can when I’m underwater looking at bugs… but still, how much of fly fishing is instinct and feel and the ineffable? How much is how good the fly is tied? Final question, does smell matter? If so, are their materials that have no fish detectable smell?
