I found I mostly agreed with where you put everything. However I do think single leg has to be put in S tier. Also a few other common takedowns you could add is the high crotch, duck under, arm throw, and leg trips. Good stuff man!
Ankle picks are gooooood!!!! Especially if you are a tall and lanky (like Me) ankle picls can be super effective. I find myself hitting these all the time because they tend to catch your opponent off guard. They happen so fast with very quick and simple forward pressure that you won't gas yourself out trying to get it; within a second or two, you are either on the ground on top of them, or moving on to the next thing. Its a takedown that is super easy to recover from or go into another takedown if it doesn't work. anyway, its gotta be A or B tier in my book, soap box over
Uchi mata definitely should go higher, as soon as your opponent has an under hook, hit that whizzer, and reap the leg. It’s literally that simple. The risk is eh because it can turn into a dog fight but it you commit to a hard angle and rotation, you’d be shocked how well this works against some of the most skilled opponents.
The official uchi mata isn't really a hip toss, it's possible to not engage the hips at all as you're more so using the thigh as the fulcrum instead of the hip, in that sense it's a thigh toss
The double leg is my favorite wrestling takedown for Brazilian jiu-jitsu because I won a lot of wrestling matches with it I have submitted people from bottom in Brazilian jiu jitsu to.
This is a good tier list for someone that does not know any judo. Forget foot sweeps, disrespect judo throws you dont know how to make bc they are too traditional and useless, always shoot the double leg and if the other guy has better ground game just pull guard.
Pulling guard has to create the most lost opportunity in BJJ. You mean to tell me I can do judo AND grab legs in this sport? I'm going for takedowns all day
I know you are mostly sarcastic about everything but equalling the mechanics of a single leg to a double is like presenting ones ignorance at a silver tablet lol just pull guard
What is your Favorite Takedown?
Foot sweeps the laziest takedown.
I love a good hip toss
Belly to belly suplex
Iminari roll😅
the pile driver
How dare you disrespect the Uchi Mata. F tier video.
One day I ankle picked ten kids in the kids' class, felt good.
that sure did happen, let me guess everyone clapped?
@@Greuxns blud it's a kid's class you can do that for an entire day
I’m sorry but Uchi Mata is double triple SSS squared cubed and quadrupled thank you very much
As a judo black belt, here’s my counter argument to your take on the uchi mata. Just…get good.
Na I’ll just keep pulling guard
@@mygrapplingsucks …how dare you.

Judoka rushing to the comments to say “ackshully the uchi mata is ashi waza and not a hip throw or koshi waza”
Can be both 😂
i think the ankle pick is A tier cause its low risk-high reward and its pretty effective if you time it right, plus it opens up for some combinations
Suplex and Tomoe Nage might be hard to perform, but they are like one shots.
I like the takedown tier list more than the guard tier list lol
Shoulder throw is the best, no competition. No one ever expects it, and it makes you feel lower than dirt when you get hit by one
Got my first shoulder throw in a roll a couple weeks ago, most satisfying takedown in the world
nice 1 brother !

Ellis Coleman went to my high school the inventor of the flying squirrel :) wrestled with him for about 2 years, cool dude :D
snap down and circle around was all i knew in wrestling lmao
i was just so uncoordinated at the start shots would make me fall on my face
You didn't do sukui nage, that one is nice.
The double leg is my favorite wrestling takedown for Brazilian jiu-jitsu because I won a lot of wrestling matches with it I have submitted people from bottom in Brazilian jiu jitsu to.
Single leg is S tier, and Uchi Mata is A or S in my humble opinion. Fireman's carry is the worst takedown.
exactly what i was thinking

W video as usual
(Cries in suplex)
where would u put the low single and the outside low single n going out the back door if u wanna add ur opinion to the last one
Yes i have turned into a human basketball by a snap down.
Where the foot sweeps at?
They are obviously too good to be on this list
suplex?
Do you commonly use a suplex to take down people? (If so) if feel sorry for your training partners lol
@@mygrapplingsucks i never suplexed someone but it's still a takedown

Idk if I’m tripping but I swear you sound and talk just like this other channel called Mostly True… I’m kinda convinced your him
I absolutely hate single legs in Brazilian jiu jitsu i can't stand them i always get sprawled on them and not double legs.
I know you are mostly sarcastic about everything but equalling the mechanics of a single leg to a double is like presenting ones ignorance at a silver tablet lol just pull guard
I agree
flying squirl is easy s tier why you dont hit it
Ankle picks from the back are so good though. I almost never go for them from the front.
Blast doubles are murder lmao.
Wow just finished the video. Your grappling really sucks lol my Judo heart is broken and my BJJ heart also
my condolences
@@mygrapplingsucks The medical bill will be expensive lol
Man you’re wrong about anklepicks.
Uchi mata is definitely better than that
Arm drag is not a takedown ffs
Russian tie, bro!
reverse fireman's carry so good it isnt in the list🙄🙄 (it doesnt exsist and i made it but i am not a very good jiu jitsuer)
Uchi mata c tier?? Dislike from me
Thank you
I be slapping people with that sacrifice throw though lol
its bad
