Fighting Malenia with 458k runes is the real boss move
When your the level he is 450k runes prolly takes 10 minutes to get unfortunately
It gets to the point where runes don't really matter. I lost 1.2 million runes to a dumb fall and it didn't even matter because I basically just use them to buy consumables.
I beat her with 150k and popped a pickle with the gold scarab. Got enough for just about exactly two levels in the 240s. Felt good.
I just fought her on ng+2 with almost 4 million runes. I died.
stopped lvling at 130 everything after that went in stones and mats
By the way, after fighting the Magma Wyrm Theodorix, head slightly further along to the frozen waterfall itself, and climb the rocks on the right side to walk "behind" the waterfall and you will find an Ancient somber dragon smithing stone on a corpse!

Just a small correction: Malenia doesn't heal when she deals damage to you. (I wish) It's whenever she makes contact with you. So if you block her, she is healing.
I was getting ready to say the same thing, she heals on hit not on damage. Pretty much making an shield in this fight useless.
I had tried using the 5 shield spirits summon. She'd aoe the whole batch and just heal the f back up.
@@kylemcnicholas4133 Bleed Build works wonders on her, use a summon to distract her and get to work. The worst boss i faced was the guy in the castle who had two knights with him, i can't remember his name but i can tell you he was twatful.

AT 3:46, In order to get the Spirit Light to show on the ground, you have to send the elevator back up that you rode down on. Just jump on the lift button, hop off and it will raise up and shine the light on the ground.

So fun fact about Theodoryx: you can drag him to the pillar with several Giant Land Octopuses and not only will they distract him they will fight him for you and deal significant damage while doing so.
I found Magma worms to be weak against ice magic(frost buildup). I used Frozen lighting Spear.
@@InstagramWanker strike or standard damage weapon are also quite effective because dragons are strong against thrust and slashing weapons, so you can further reduce their defences by having frost ashes of war applied to them for the frostbite buildup
They literally killed him for me. I couldn't believe it. Was riding through there and they followed me. I didn't realize there was a boss there so I turned around not wanting to deal with him the octopuses and a crab and when I past back by them he attacked them and they proceeded to wreck him. It was hilarious

I cannot believe I missed that much stuff in Caelid.
I barely did anything in Caelid on my first round. I’m going to give it a lot more attention on NG+.
Yeah caelid is the one place I didn't scour. It's just a nasty place both in landscape and enemies. Not even necessarily difficult, just harder to look at than any other area. Caelid is a place that affects the sanity stat.

For Anyone struggling with Ordina and the invisible assassins
Find and use the ash of war “assassins gambit”
You can get the first 3 lanterns lit and for the one on the roof near the start
Climb up to the roof of the lantern on the opposite roof
And use a greatbow to knock the archers back
The one on the left should get knocked back enough to be pushed off the roof with the first greatarrow
You can also get the sentry torch to make them visible.
@@dkail08 i know but that basically stops you using a shield or dual wielding as you have to hold it so even twohanding your weapon isn’t going to work as it stops the effect working

@@nicholaswhite8275 yep. Can confirm, cuz that's what I did. There's 5 assassins in total, that I found. 2 hand your weapon, torch on back, assassins die.

Regarding Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave, if people don't know, you need to raise the elevator and jump off it to activate the holy circle down at the giant. Took me a while.

I have 200+ hours in the game, felled Radagon/Marika and the Elden Beast, and I have barely explored the Consecrated Snowfields, the Mountaintops of the Giants, some parts of Caelid and the Atlus Plateau, and I continue to find new things in Liurnia/Limgrave. This game is amazing.
The first one is brought to your attention if you interact with the spirit tree you passed in the scarlet rot pool

Lol same here bro like with everything besides when we fought her was different dayz or maybe not.. idk I didn't check or nothin jus figure dozen tries and it's our first peak behind the curtain of fromsoftware/souls game. Which idk how bcuz I'm a gamer always have been and it's madining that none of the souls games and I, have never crossed paths before.. not a trailer or anything. Strange and sucks that we missed out on them in ther prime when we didn't have these extreme graphics and controls.. to go back on sum older games could b an awful experience now but at the time next level but were jus spoiled with all the advancements.
An I realize ther not like ancient or even that that old but cmon.. these days 2 weeks is equivalent to a decade especially with cpu's and cellphones lol by time u walk put the store the phone or cpu is obsolete and should've got the 2nd Gen b out in a few hours lol jk
Ironically, If you get the land octopus guys to spawn by Theodorix they will attack him instead of you on sight. This is handy if you want to get in the nearby dungeon as well, since Theodorix gets his ass beat on by them while they move away from the entrance.
Just jump in the entrance, let them kill each other, and then dungeon crawl. Win-win
Also have u noticed when fighting a land octopus, it will tear off and eat its own tentacles so it can regain the health it lost in battle.
Not related but just trying to spread the word. Rykard's Great Rune heals upon enemy death, also heals you if you check a bloodstain and the shown player dies
That's gonna get patched. I'd learn to rely on heals elsewhere if I were you.
@@Happyfoam-lw3yt no doubt, after more testing it seems to only work when a shown player falls and dies, which is odd. Still an interesting find, but will definitely get patched haha

I have a clip of one of those things killing magma wyrm,was pretty funny.
That happened with me as well. Made me want the Big Land Octopus as a summon. He staggered Theodorix 3 times!
Oh we are 100% getting DLC for this game. I don't have any doubts on that.

You forgot to tell everyone @ 4:09 that there is a hidden area in this dungeon by taking the elevator down another floor... and a unique weapon to get. When you put the elevator in the up position on the boss floor, you can get inside of it and it will take you down

You don't take an elevator, you drop down just outside the boss room doors. Get the Giant Seal and a 2 hand mace iirc.

You should have mentioned the super hidden boss in the cave right behind the magma dragon that has a pretty cool faith sword.
Melania is super refreshing to fight even in the second journey she is different from different bosses and has a very unique battle stile

Fun fact about the Regalia Eochaid sword. You can get it early if you skyrim your way up the mountain. That's how I got it.
I remember trying for half an hour to get up there from the beach but never found a way.

My strategy for Malenia was to equip Shabiri's Woe, enter the boss room, summon Mimic Tear, unequip Shabiri's Woe, then spam Swarm of Flies.
at 3:50 when fighting big giant, you can actually jump down to fight thought enemy and get Holly weapon!

I found all of them, but I simply couldn't be bthered to fight an other deathbird. Mostly because those fights were really lenghty with my build and I wasn't using summons at all (except Malenia, she was too hard for me without summons)
Death birds are Vulnerable to Holy damage
Hmmm... I didn't notice that death bird being that difficult at all at that point. Though that's probably because I spent 8 hours prior to fighting it, fighting Mohg and Malenia with no summons. About 3 hours on the 2 Mohg, got his moves down pat... SHE is a different story though, you're right. I still refuse to summon though, she's too good of a boss. If I can't beat her solo, then I don't beat her I guess... but eventually, I feel like I can get her. but it had been 5 hours of dying, so I wanted to take out my frustrations, and death bird was the closest lol. After memorizing every one of HER moves, the birds don't seem intimidating anymore, no? lol.
For real though, you must be a mage I take it? Either pure mage, or dex/int right?. You can stunlock them with a combination of jump attacks, and moonveil WA. If you could summon, I'd offer to help u...
@@ricardodarcangelo2437 it was not about the difficulty of the deathbirt itself, it was simply a bad fight for my build at that time and it would take a while to take him down for basically 0 reward. having 1 spell more that I wouldn't use didn't seem like a something that I'd sit down for 20 minutes when I arrived or return to later on

For anyone who just wants to get Malenia over and done with (and I can't blame you), Swarm of Flies and any Spirit Ashes that can chew down her poise absolutely wrecks her. +10 Tiche worked for me. It might take a few tries to get a pattern that isn't too spicy, but once you can spam her with flies, she drops dead.
If I remember correctly, all the gold she was wearing was unalloyed gold to help keep the rot on check, like with millicent and the needle. She was basically taking off the kids gloves

for the first Item if u judt eant the eochidad sword u can cheese it. u can climb up the cliff from the limgrave side with the horse from the church judt head to the right side of the cliff and start jumping ig u wanna save a stonekeyword. BUT u can not enter the dungeon backwords there will still a fogwall so u just can cheese the sword.

im never gonna start a ng+ with all the stuff i missed....and im 200hrs in with the elden beast slain. every day im like, today is the day, then i open youtube and yall drop knowledge me. i already locked myself out of the white mask, and some mage outfits.
2hrs later that damn bird is dead lvl 160........ :(
U will want to start ng+ when you realise there's 3 different people to give seluvis' potion to, no spoilers but one nets you a fantastic summon. Not to mention the 6 different endings.

Great wyrm Theodrix can be cheesed by running up the cliff behind him and tickling him with a bow.

Melania was a tough battle but after 2 dozen tries i bested her,me and my mimic tear with blasphemous blades ,we had an easy time in phase 1 but phase 2 is crazy hard and one battle we both died at the same time, i had to repeat the whole thing all over again, thanks from software
3:30 right side is an Illusion Wall you can then drop behind the watchdog
Death Bird has a bell tower nearby that launches magic mortars they hurt BAD deal with that before doing this also there’s a grave right by there for ya know.. respawning
At 3:30 there is a fake wall instead of jumping there you can hit it and get behind those enemies and get a pillage
Haven’t completed the game myself and not entirely sure if it’s missable/hidden but in the area that is in the very far right and bottom of the map there is a hidden boss called Dragonlord Placidusax.
Ah yes. You need to at least access him to get the Frenzied Flame reversed (no need to fight though), and he has the only sorta boss run in the game... at the bottom of a goddamn elevator. Damn elevator killed me almost as many times.
If only you could get the second phase armor of Malenia

Start the game as a wretch and you've already got it on. Or, off rather.
For those who want to defeat malenia here is a pro tip : Use bleed attacks and if you have a claw weapon even better bluff that one with a blood incantation get your clone in there aswell and don't forget to use the bloodhound step ash off war to doge the waterfall attack off her or AKA one off the fastest sword slashing move you ever saw in a fromsoft game .
AKA she DECIDES you're dead. AKA "the attack". If she's in your face when it starts, the only strat you've got, is to pray. Well, if you're solo anyways... With a summon, the step might save you, if you're good enough with it. Best tip is to start running when you see the tell; if you're using the step, you can avoid all damage on the 3rd and 4th waves, and maybe the 2nd if you're really good with step (or with precise rolling). But like I said, if she starts the 1st part right in your face, you're dead; especially in phase 2. Full stop. Unless you have a summon and they somehow save you. Awesome boss, I just can't bring out a summon, and I can't consistently dodge the death wave, so she's probably gonna live forever in my world lol.

TYVM for the video! I had missed the Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave and boss. And I'm still gonna thank you, even though I FRIGGIN LOATHE those Cat Gargoyles... and the THREE of them in this dungeon also being "shadow mobs" really sucked! lol. Worth it in the end. Lots of good loots in that one! Don't skip the Fire Prelate down below the boss approach if you go that way!
Ngl besides the final boss the death right bird was by far one of the most difficult bosses I faced. Since my dogging is straight ass and I couldn’t use summons I died an uncountable amount of times. I ended up just killing it from rock slinging it to death. From above but one attack literally got me one hit twice giving me a small heart attack each time. Great vid keep up the good work👍
Definitely one of the hardest bosses. Even Maliketh was easier. Its Death Fire is so annoying
The Haligtree boss is NOT fair. Freakin' Waterfowl Dance. Tracks you across the entire arena and is basically instant kill if you're not running with a shield.
To any one who is curious on how to pronounce Eochaid. It is Oh-chade
O as in the letter O, Chade as in shade but with a cha sound instead (not a ka sound more like in the ching sound a cash register used to make)
The second one you showed I noticed next to it was a cave I had not found. lol so many hidden stuff. I love it!!!

edit: you can actually use torrent to hop up the cliff where the regalia of eochaid is located in limgrave. i think the closest grace is the 3rd church of marika. in order to make the climb, you have to do some really screwbally jumps, but it’s actually not that hard. part of me thinks they won’t patch this out either as it reminds me of jumping up a certain tree... but yeah, you can get this in the very start of the game this way
Worth mentioning that you can skip the dungeon for Regalia, and just jump up the rocks Skyrim style with Torrent from the East Side of Third Church of Marika

I did not know that there is another death bird boss in the game. I went to that site and tried to beat him. and Oh my god, that bird is a Biyach. his attack can kill you in just two shots.. if you dodge his attack then the black flames can hit you and eat significant HP. i tried 10 times and one time almost beat him. but that flame kills. So I give a tip to everyone who wants to kill him without dying. i beat him using that method.
1. first kill the nearby walking castle mausoleum. that castle do more than jumping , he uses big magic blue balls that can hit you from miles away. put him down so that his attack could not interfere.
2. Do not use long range comet attack. its useless against him. he is quick. Do not use heavy meteorite attack as well. you can kill him using that ( i almost killed him using that) but he will hit and break it . so not a very good option if you are thinking about killing him with sword.
2. i used incantations. i used the incantation that you get after killing the secret dragon boss in the crumbling farum azula. I used the red lightening incantation . incantation that hit nearby enemy with heavy red lightening from above.
3. Go to the site ( only in night) and when bird appears, do not engage with him. just use torrent and go to the part where you can see mausoleum. go to the edge. make sure that bird does not follow you . go near the edge and spam the incantation attack. i stunned him many times using this. however bird can still hit you with long black flame attack and his flying black flame attack that chases the enemy. just dodge them. its easy. afterwards spam it. it eats good Hp of bird. do not go close to him. in the end he will fly and try to reach at you. so try to kill him as soon as possible. go with lots of FP flask.
4. you can also try the method shown in the video if you have any op weapon that can kill in two shots.

Pretty sure I only knew about two of these, and only beat one of them, so thanks a ton!
One of my favorite bosses are the mimics. The actual boss ones that mimic your player character. What I like to do is strip naked, go in, summon my own mimic. Then have a two on one fist fight. But since each hit only does 2 damage (sadly legit unarmed fighting gets absolutely zero love), and with the boss HP they have it takes FOREVER. Or since they don't actually have access to your 4D pocket you can just stand there while they do almost next to nothing to you, put on some proper equipment, and bully them.
Get the spiked gauntlets, and you'll do punching with bleed build up. It's a bit more intense but more fun.
I got the sword from the beach side, torrent helped me out lol
But there was a white fog, so I could not go in to Gerols Cave.
I’ve made peace with the fact that I’m never going to fight some of these bosses 😂. The amount of shenanigans they put in this game is insane.

I remember my first game my friend wanted to solo malenia so i let him, later on ng+2 i am attempting her and i thought she was really easy! Just for me to figure out that once you deplete her hp bar she has a second phase and ive died to her flower attack evry time! Now im fat rolling with a fingerprint sheild for phase 2

Scarlet Aeonia bums me out because it is such a bad attack that has one of the best animations in the game. Hopefully it gets buffed in a future patch.

Malenia was fun but somewhat easy if you use assassins knife or black knights sword since they lower total hp also so she cant go to full health especially having liche summon
I found a way to kill maliania so fast, upgraded mimic and rivers of blood it stunlocks her so bad that her super attack can get cancelled from the blood loss

I heard so much about Malenia, & was so excited to get wrecked by her multiple times.... and then beat her my second try. Biggest disappointment ever! Shes not even close to the hardest boss in the game, let alone in the entire franchise. (Was she nerfed like Rahdan??)
pretty sure that whole third one, the cave with all the summoned enemies, is a reference to sekiro. The main enemy/boss in there reminds me a lot of a certain boss abt half way thru the game

Right, right...Yeah, yeah...A very aggressive/agile boss that has lol AoE/ranged/charged/leap attacks that do lol dmg...Yep, certainly, such a unique and different boss compared to all the others in the game 😂🤣😅. Oh, wait, what's that you said? She also has self-heal on hits? Oh yes, that definitely makes her very "unique" 😆.
I will admit the fight's pretty, as in visually delightful (naked lady ftw :D?!), which also reminds me of a lot of the Kyuubi and other "flowers" from Naruto, and her weapon skill reminds me A LOT of Virgil from Devil May Cry (the Allfather of fast slashes).
Joke aside, I found her to be quite an easy boss tbh. Especially compared to the shit you encounter while doing the area to get to her, and I'll just point out those rotten minor Erdtree guardians that have fucking immunity to basically everything (except frost), lol hp/dmg, and that also spam the weapon skill that does lol range dmg (if you try to attack them from far away), tracks and staggers you at the same time, so basically nukes with smart AI. Add to that the Crystalline enemies that I'm guessing most people just ignored/skipped, and overall will make the end boss of the area look like a bad joke in comparison.
malenia didn't take off her clothes, but more like she discarded the alloyed gold her brother made for her to contain the rot and the rot just... rot the clothes along with her unleashing her full power.

I got the caelid sword early but never used it because I got so many weapons but had a feeling it was cool. Oh and I didnt go for arcane went strength/faith
