- On today's Climbing Daily Friday Gear Show, Matt checks out his two favourite shoes from a summer of climbing. This is in no way a balanced review; he loves them, and no one is going to tell him otherwise.

What Are Matt's Favourite Climbing Shoes? | Climbing Daily Ep.1008 - Спорт
Just climbed my first v6
I picked up a pair of Scarpa VSRs a month ago when i had to bring my Vapor V's in to get resoled and i am LOVING them. Surprisingly, they are almost as comfortable as my Vapor V's and i have been able to wear them for long periods of time even at a full size down from my street shoe size! Because i chose such a tight fit, they are a true pain in the ass to get on my foot if my feet are clammy or swollen at all. I think this has a lot to do with the single strap design. However, once the shoe is on, i can wear it for an hour of hard climbing before i need to let my feet breathe. Surprising comfort for such a precise shoe. Tight heel fit and amazing toe box make this a joy for bouldering with lots of heel and toe hooks (my favorite).
TLDR: I agree with Matt.
Hi Matt, would love you to test the Boldrini brand of shoes.
I use them a lot but there seem's to be a massive lack of video reviews. They are stocked my EpicTv Shop so you can't say you can't get a pair.
I have a pair of Scarpa Instinct VSR's that I haven't tried out yet. Any break-in tips?
How are the scarpa shoes for wide feet. I have hobbit feet and need a new pair of shoes for bouldering and steep overhanging sport routes.
I have wide feet too! Sportivas & 5.10s destroy the area of my foot right below my toes. Scarpas are the only shoes that have reasonably fit them! Depending on the width of your foot bridge & heel, the heel might feel slightly loose though.
yeah I have some Ocun shoes at the moment and I find the heel slips if I am really pulling on a heal hook. They are old though and have lost some shape. Someone recommended the Evolve Sharma shoes for wide feeet
Try the teneya mundakas
Nice vid and heaps of great insights. What’s your thoughts on Five Ten Team 5.10? I’ve read that is pretty much the best toe hook shoe on the current market. Also magnificent for overhangs and smearing as well. If you could give me some comments that’d be much appreciated.
Random question, but what's the song playing in spanish when he's showing off the VSR's?

Do you have any advice for a new pair of climbing shoes?, I currently have the la sportiva skwama, I'm generally really happy with them, but I find the heel a bit loose. Do you have any good alternatives? (want a shoe that's as soft as the skwamas, and good toe and heel hooking capabilities)
Johannes Høivik the solutions or evolv agro are really good from my experience
Lovin the music guys!
I have wide feet with Mortons toe. Couldn't fit in many aggressive shoes such as the Red Chili Atomyc or anything from 5.10. The Boreal Mutant fit nice but missed the aggressive profile. The VSR also fit nice but a bit tight initially. Settled on the La Sportiva Skwama which fits like a glove and performs like no shoe I've ever tried (except for the 5.10 with the MI6 rubber, those shoes really feel like cheating).
Are the five ten dragons any good? How does the heel fit?
Heel fit is going to vary from person to person. That's why there are so many shoes out there. Best way to find out is by trying them on.
VSR is my favorite shoe. Also I wrote a review of the VSR on the orbital climbing website, if it isnt up now it will be soon.
I feel the same way about my vapor v's
Seamus Cannon same I love the vapor vs.
